There must have been some pretty big changes brought on by the medicine for the doctors to clear him. Hopefully it is something they continue to monitor so that if the heart muscle thickens again, they can catch it.

I think it's a bit too early to write off Helfrich just yet - though his inability to recruit and develop a QB does throw up red flags. He has had to rely on a grad transfer two years in a row, but at least they are still scoring points.
The real head scratcher was hiring Brady Hoke as the DC; someone who was never a DC. I know they are adjusting to a 4-3, but the results have been bafflingly bad. For me, he needs to be called in for a meeting with the Bobs:

That was my junior year at Tech, and I was in those stands. I remember calling my dad right before gametime to see how things were back at home... and his phone cut off maybe 3 minutes into the conversation.
I still enjoyed the game immensely, but that was a bit unnerving.
I had no idea Chaney ended up retiring at HPU due to another incident. I hope the best for his health. That is too damn sad.
