I agree that no one wants to see political/religious discussion, but the joke is different and is easy to differentiate from a serious attempt at conversation. I would have thought this was a particularly easy example to decipher.

The game pictured above wasn't a hurricane I don't believe. That was the game against Miami and it was just heavy rain. It may have been the outer part of a named storm but it was not Isabelle I know.

Eh, that joke had minimal political content. The only way politics would get involved would be if some dingbat with no sense of humor couldn't control themselves and launched into a politic tirade. I like to think that folks here have enough self-control/social awareness to avoid that.
