Ok so it appears that it's going to rain, and rain a lot. How do we feel about a game that revolves around running the rock? UNC has a couple of experienced, talented RB's. VT essentially has four solid options for who they will be handing the ball off to. How does this game play out if there is going to torrential rain and the passing game gets all but eliminated?

Um, the tweet I linked was from the governor of the state of Texas: "Big 12 expansion is a non-starter unless it includes University of Houston."

I don't know how it can be made more clear than that.

Seems we're in on 2 or 3 OL. Hunt and Becton being the best chances. They have silas danzi coming in from a prep year, who I think is a project. It's not going to be a very strong OL class unless someone major pops up. Also surprised we aren't going after at least 1 DT more aggressively.

definitely agree, I was just pointing out their win against USF is still more impressive than anyone on our resume. One playing being out on FSU's defense isn't an excuse for their horrendous showing.

Yes. We were in the very outer bands of it in Blacksburg. Isabelle was no joke. Here in Kitty Hawk many homes were destroyed, lost to sea, condemned, etc.

For those wondering, I highly doubt this game gets moved to Blacksburg, if only because of the ripple effects it will have with the other games in the area

NCSU is home on Saturday against Notre Dame at 12:00
UNC is home on Saturday against Virginia Tech at 3:30
Duke is home on Saturday against Army at 3:30
Wake is home on Saturday against Syracuse at 7:00

Not to mention
South Carolina is home on Saturday against Georgia at 7:30

If you move our game to Blacksburg, you have to move the others. Duke and Wake moving probably isn't a big deal all things considered, but you just know that NCSU would throw an absolute shitfit if they lost their once in a blue moon chance to play ND at home. For that alone, I can't see our games moving.

Wasn't Blacksburg on the outskirts of that storm where it was mostly just rain? I remember it hitting central VA hard but the winds and such were not that far west which is probably why they decided to play.

I am not sure the state would want the emergency personnel tied up at NCState, Duke and UNC football games in the middle of a hurricane.

How about the eastern shore this upcoming weekend? There's a tentative rocket launch out of Wallops Island, VA on Sunday (10/9) night.

Edit: Launch moved to 10/13

Yeah, this guy is like that. About once a year, he has to apologize for his behavior.

I was at that game. It was wet.

#source..I was there..remember?...I just said that..duh

I agree with that, their attitude and work rate is poor. Hard to imagine that DC sticking around barring a huge turnaround.

Could the game logistically be moved to Thursday or Friday night? I assume they would have to make an announcement by tomorrow morning, I just don't know how much that throws off game preparations and whether everybody could get there in time.

EDIT: Just checked the schedule and realized that NC State, Duke and UNC all have home games this weekend so I am sure the ACC office is scrambling.

There is no valid reason for a defense that talented to perform this bad. 7 yards per play over 5 games is absolutely heinous regardless of opponent.

Larry Fedora enjoys it when Christmas decorations go up in October.
