# | Virginia Tech's "Explosive Offense" Stands Out for Prospects Visiting for September Games in Lane Funny story from the conversation: North Rowan played Statesville HS and an OL there has accepted an offer to Georgia Southern. That OL pancaked the shit out of DeBose on a play and says, You better get used to 4 years of that.

reference game on point, fam
Ward lit it up last night! An impressive performance.
From ESPN: "32-for-38 passing, a career-high 389 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions. He ran for 65 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, and dazzled the crowd by zigging when UConn's defenders zagged, showing off his quickness and agility. And of Ward's six incomplete passes, two of those were drops."
This isn't hurting his status either: "After securing his FBS-best 18th consecutive win as a starter, there's no question Ward is one of the nation's best players."
We keep winning, Evans will be in the conversation, but I think he has a lot of ground to make up to be a serious contender this year. But next year........
I'm unreasonably excited about the prospect of having a player named Tank Land on our team.

I love that added touch to build team camaraderie.
You make good points.
I was referring more to industry, not academia. Academia requires its degrees... although, to your good points, I have seen a large uptick in adjuncts with doctorates teaching courses or handling other responsibilities that don't require knowledge beyond the master's.
I think Lamar will still win it even if UL drops a game or two. His numbers are absurd, and look at Johnny Football. His team certain wasn't a threat to win it all, but he won.
yeah, but then we pooped the bed against ECU...reality came knocking the very next week. ugh. I hate ecu.
Also, if L'ville wins, either FSU or Clemson will necessarily have 2 losses by seasons' end.
Whoever wins this game needs to win out, IMHO.

My couch pulls out too, how convenient

My bolded point is that "top four" Lousiville by Dec. 3rd will have already eliminated Houston from contention since they play each other, and UH cannot afford to lose any games. The Tennessee loss and low initial ranking may still keep us out, but a convincing victory over the Cards should give us the edge over UH in the "New Years 6" conversation.
Lamar Jackson is offended by this.
I'm near Saratoga Springs (Wilton, exit 16)
I wondered if the LOLUVA and ND recruiting pipelines were still open. Apparently so.
Does Jones Sr. still work in Tennessee?
One of these days Evans will have to start playing full games too.
Of course, if he doesn't, that means that good things have been happening a la BC and ECU.
I agree completely with your strength of schedule comment. I think that's what hurts us though and even if we win out to include the ACCCG will we be ranked high enough at that time to leap Houston. Perhaps but as for now I see us getting left out in that scenario. I would see us in the top ten after that but maybe not on the top four unless we were #6 at the time we played a top four ranked Louisville.
But anything can happen.
I graduated from JJ Kelly (Wise) which no longer exists either.
Seeing Mitchell on our recruit list explains why Charley Wiles was re-tweeting stuff about Union High earlier in the year.
like i said, i'm not positive..
.just seemed like he wasn't going 100% and like he might've caught had he laid out -- maybe not, tho
Well, I did the same thing once (after a few belts), so I should understand.
I'd start pulling out a lot sooner than that, or sleeping on the couch will be the least of your worries.

Louisville gave FSU their worst loss in decades and gets a chance at a top 10 Houston team as well. If you're wondering who could have the most impressive resume in the ACCCG, its easily Louisville.
