I looked them up and I dig them. Gonna go punch something now.

The 97% I refer to is specifically from meta-analysis of published, peer-reviewed, primary literature. The numbers fluctuate depending on study methodology, but it's from 91-100%, with the median being 97%.

Again id love to see the petition, and who signed it. A biologist isnt going to be the person to talk to. Amongst my field where a majority of the experts are, this is pretty widely accepted and the results are already there. Read my comment below regarding sea rise. It's already happening

I remember, way back in the day, buddy & me would go to the atrocious VT basketball games regularly, Basically to give the winning opponents a hard time, and the enjoy the HighTechs.

In the early days, I think they were pretty risque. Seems like they've toned it down since, but, yeah, they often seem to outshine the cheer squad.

RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic institute) up here in NY is very well respected, but the Navy had to sever their relationship a few years ago. The nukes taking the online program were getting "benefit of the doubt", not even having to complete assignments & such. Only recently has RPI become an option again.

Listening to College GameDay as I type this and I realize how far off the radar we are. But I'm at peace with it because of where we seem to be headed. Let's win this game today, which would mean winning the games we were supposed to win, let's get out healthy for the bye week, and let's see what both coaches come up with after having 2 weeks to prep for UNC.

We have a ways to go, but look how far we've come! Get loud in Lane today if you are at the game! I want my TV to ROCK!!!

Go Hokies!!

The counter to the "97%" was how many of those scientists actually did their own research, and how many just agree with the prevailing opinion.

But that one also works both ways.

From the Washington Post:

Since Sept. 14, 2013, East Carolina of the American Athletic Conference has won six consecutive games against ACC teams, most recently a 33-30 victory over North Carolina State two weeks ago. That equals the number of wins Virginia and N.C. State have compiled in ACC play over that time, and is one more than Wake Forest.

The more I think about it, the more it's important to nip this streak in the bud.

Oh good they lost. I went to bed before the end of that game. The PAC 12 believes the light shines out of USC as they and Oregon are the only teams with East Coast recognition.
