So because that got cut, somebody from the UT camp threw a hissy fit and they had to cancel Enter Sandman too.

I realize this was very unclear. Based on stats, I think I would have Evans ahead of Hurts right now, BUT totally agree Hurts has played against better competition. I also think the sky is the limit for Hurts, who could turn out to be a truly phenomenal player for Alabama and he has already flashed some clutch helping lead that comeback last week.
I thought that SEC teams saved their FCS cupcakes for the week in November before they play their ACC rivals.

I'm glad to see Evans getting some props but I think any Heisman talk is crazy. The guys who are in that conversation take over games. Not saying that he doesn't have that ability, but I think we still have a few games before we really start to see what Jerod's full potential might look like. That being said, I haven't been this excited about our offense possibly ever. ECU is diffiult opponent but I have confidence in the scheme and system on both sides of the ball now.
While he was the preseason unanimous pick (almost guaranteeing that he won't win it), so far Watson isn't worthy of mention, for the Heisman. JT Barrett is definitely in the mix. I agree with your comment about the 2 of the B10, SEC and B12 being shut out, but I can't think of a player from the SEC or B12 who would be considered to be in the mix at this point, of the season (though each will likely have one emerge).
"Dark horse candidate" is a relatively common term used by the talking heads on ESPN and Fox sports. It's odd that you haven't heard the term before.

Watson may not be, but neither is Evans. And Watson has a track record and name recognition -- and hasn't had 2 fumbles in a 21pt loss yet.

If so, he would be a very dark horse. Barring injury, Jackson, Watson, & McCaffrey are likely finalists. It's hard to imagine two of the Big10, SEC and Big12 being shut out. And it's also hard to imagine 3 ACC QBs at the Downtown Athletic Club together.
Mitchell, new DB coach, uses a different technique than Gray. DBs play the ball/look for it, and try to rake if caught.
Although I have seen a few plays this year with guys face guarding. Old habits might be hard to break in game situations. I think defense has played very well so far. Offense has taken a burden off the defense. It shows.
