Probably a stupid question but here goes. On TV every time they showed Foster, two big guys were standing behin him holding up what appeared to be white blank poster board. They adjusted their position every time that Foster moved...up/down, sideways etc. What is that?

To be fair, "the best coach since Welsh" is not a high bar. I mean, just about any random fan in the stands has one of the two beat. And the man inherited a dumpster fire. But point taken, they looked bad, and the BYU recruiting thing is true as well. But at the end of the day if I have to pick one person who will definitely find a way to screw their program once more, my money is on littlepage over mendenhall.

I'm sure it will be talked about in full-depth this week once people finish de-briefing from the BC-Beatdown but ECU scares me more right now than any other team on our schedule (including pitt/miami/ND). After having watched several clips of them, they are the real deal on offense. They have so many weapons at WR and a QB that can scramble, not to mention another DT quarterback in summers that destroyed us last year which is a recipe for success against our defense already this year. I know our Defense is riding high in the rankings right now but this weekend has all the makings of a trap game and ECU is looking tough. They were the better team against USCe but a barrage of ill-timed turnovers kept the game out of reach (sounds familiar). I'm looking forward to the analysis.

I think this weekend will turn into a shoot out with us having the edge with the better defense but ECU has made a point at circling their annual matchup against us. I just hope we're not still riding the win over BC.

Scottie Montgomery thinks TOP is the only stat that matters in a game

1) I don't hate Loeffler the person. I have no opinion of him as a person. I hated his play-calling and job performance at VT.

2) Nowhere did I say I expected top 10 performances. No one ever expected that from him. He was brought in to make the offense and he utterly failed. Other coaches have had more success at worse spots.

3) He recruited Andrew Ford, Michael Brewer and Chris Durkin. He inherited Bucky. Shane recruited McLaughlin. Ford and Phillips were recruited by Moorehead. He didn't recruit any of the RB Hydra he and Shane mismanaged/broke during his tenure. Who am I missing?

Loeffler's gone. There's no need to be an apologist for him anymore and pretend the awful stats and performances don't exist/don't count because mumble mumble reasons. He ran the offense deeper into the ditch it was in.

"Scottie doesn't know
that Fuente and the team
will destroy ECU this Saturday.
They come into Lane
begging on their knees and
Scottie doesn't know"

I fully concur. I think CFB just put a bag on the offense at certain times during the game. It mattered not who the OC was. How many times in the Red Zone did we run and run and run and run. Very predictable.

Yes they were really saying that

edit: I just took a look at Sabre, and there are several people advocating that loluva will turn it around against CMU this week and go 4-4 in conference this year and will be bowl eligible by next year. If you need a laugh on your Monday morning, that's the place to go

you know, if he just slightly changed that last sentence, I could be on board with it:

"I know it's crazy talk, but we could almost win every game."

so long as we all agree that "almost win" means "lose and lose embarrassingly"

Did you watch the uconn game? My god his clock management was like the second coming of timecop. The players looked completely lost as well it was a BAD look. I expect him to make them more physical but his in game management has not been promising I also wonder how much the recruiting chip that byu had with mormons helped him

15 seems a bit high by that time in the season

If you look at the grammar and spelling, it tells you something.

The one thing he got right was that it was crazy talk.

Perhaps the person who posted that should check in on a football board, but to read it, not to write.

I would love to see Deablo get some more reps in certain formations as he (in my opinion) could provide more physicality in the blocking department than either Cam or Bucky.

I dig Carroll but when I saw him on the sideline next to Tremaine Edmunds and others all I could think of was this.....

Scott Loeffler is not a good offensive coordinator.
