# | What life is like for a Hokie football player a day removed from a 49-0 win Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves... Yes BC had a top (the top?) defense last year, but that was last year. It's a new season, they now have a new defensive coordinator.
Need to see more consistency from this team week to week. Yes, we can line up with most teams, but will we? We have a lot of test coming up (ECU, UNC, Miami and Pitt are far from guaranteed wins). Not yet ready to crown Evans as an amazing QB.
Don't get me wrong, I think this team is going places, but I don't want read too much into this win. We kicked the shit out of a bottom 4 ACC team. How does the team react when a starter goes down with injury? Next time the team is trailing in the third qtr, are they going come together, or fall apart a la Bristol? How will we play against 'better talent' at ND? We're definitely going places, but I think we'll have some more freshman moments on the way.

They owe him a ton. He pretty much brought them up and could have moved them further. They went from a scrappy but basically winnable game to a dangerous team not be over-looked. Ruffin had them on the way up and they basically took themselves a few steps back IMO with firing him.
