Frankly I think people (including myself) just think that Loeffler is a bad offensive coordinator, and was from the time we hired him (as evidenced by the talk coming out of Auburn at the time). However 'we' got shouted down over and over again that he just needed more time, that he would surely do better this year, that the job was too big. Now we want an opportunity to point out that he is, in fact, a bad offensive coordinator, and you're probably not going to change many of our minds about that.
I get what you're saying, we didn't have a Mike Vick on the roster when he got here. But yeah, I think a Chip Kelly or Justin Fuente could have done more than Loeffler did in his time here. Way more.

And really, I am getting to the point where I don't care too much about our rivalry long-term. The ACC is becoming a TOUGH conference, and any easy outs would actually be a good thing in my eyes, and if that easy out just so happens to be Hoos, so be it.

Let's not forget one of the top attributes of a back in Fuente's system, the ability to catch the ball. Right now I think T-Mac obviously has the edge in that department. Shai has shown some flashes and obviously Sam has some amazing pass catching skills, but I'm thinking the staff might be wanting to see more pass catching ability and explosiveness in that game before settling on a definitive rotation. Marshawn is a beast, but I can't recall him having shown good hands in the passing game.

Those instances where we shine like this have been few and far between the past few years. Positive steps regardless.
