As many three and outs our offense has had over the years, the D should be used to being on the field. We may actually get some more first downs and keep em off the field longer than we have been, even at a faster pace. I don't think we are going to be marching up and down scoring, but we should move the ball a little.

That's a fair question, and if I'm being honest, my sample size for East-coast Mexican food is probably a little small to take as strong a stance as I do.

But I think the same argument could be made about El Rods (I don't know where their staff is from, but it seemed like most spoke Spanish as a first language). And, when I was living in Blacksburg, I was friends with a girl from Puerto Rico, who spoke fluent Spanish. We were talking about food from our respective regions once, and I expressed my disappointment with the lack of Mexican food in Blacksburg. She told me that she had talked with some of the El Rods staff and they told her that over time, their menu has changed pretty drastically to assuage the pallettes of white people. So, I can't speak to your taco stand, but in the case of El Rods, I'm not sure what I would call it. It isn't bad food, but it's so far removed from actual Mexican food that, in my opinion, it isn't in the same category.

I would say the same thing to one of my old roommates from Blacksburg (who was a Virginia native), and he was a little defensive and told me I was being pretentious. He recently moved to Arizona, and one of the first things he told me was "You were right about the Mexican food."

I understand that foods evolve as they spread across different geographic regions. And even much of what I called Mexican food growing up 2 hours from the border has some distinct differences from authentic Mexican food. But there's a point where the evolution becomes so pronounced that it can no longer be considered the same thing as what it evolved from. And, based on my experiences in that part of the country, that point has been reached.

Having said all that, Chipotle is better than Moe's.

This should be fodder 4 vt team to come in firing on all cylinders n bury their cocky asses. Enuf is enuf.
IT'S TIME!

Read this in between sets at the gym with my headphones on and got a lot of stares as I laughed too loud. Apparently nobody in the gym at 0445 should laugh that hard.

It really is overwhelming how much attention Tennessee has received, especially today...its honestly pissing me off how one sided this is. I don't even know if I want to watch College Gameday tomorrow at the rate this is going. I don't see how our guys won't have enormous chips on their shoulders tomorrow night. Perfect opportunity to demand respect...

I don't think I've heard anyone from ESPN comment about the Hokies going to Ohio State as underdogs and winning by two touchdowns. That Ohio State team was much better than the UT team VT plays tomorrow. I believe the Hokies get the job done and end up with a W.
