The hair cut does make it much harder to tell when he is out of position though.

Could the state of their program and that horrid loss to Richmond be the rock bottom any D1-A program has been in a long time?? Who knows, they could end up winning three or four games, but the ACC is pretty damn tough this year and they wont be out toughing anybody. I dont know who else they play OOC, but if they cant stay within 3 scores of Richmond, it might get real ugly.

Is the Richmond thrashing the worst P5 team has lost to an FCS opponent? The score was actually closer than the game was but theres no measure for that.

1. Typically cabs are barely available, if at all, in Bristol to be honest.
2. Uber literally did not support/exist in Bristol until last month. Here's an article about it. I have no idea what to expect as far as availability/surge pricing based on it just starting but I would suspect it's going to be pretty brutal.

For a race, most people get to the track well before it starts. That involves parking and walking to a tailgate spot like a campground or parking at a house/lot nearby and tailgating for the day. The other option is to have someone sober and not attending to take you close and drop you off. You'll probably want to find a shuttle or something ahead of time because I wouldn't count on cabs/uber.

If you pit this year's teams together, Bama would win 99/100 times. That's what I'm saying. Fuente may eventually be able to build a national title contender but we don't know that about him. After losing to Tenn this weekend the tune will probably be different. Fuente has a lot of building to do and I have faith that he will make us a better team than we have been but I'm not gonna profess that he'll get us to the promised land. He has to show us something first.

Before this season started most people (TheFifthFuller aside) pegged this team as a 6-8 win team (mostly) with losses to Tenn, ND, and the upper echelon of the Coastal. I don't see any reason to change tack now. I expect us to lose in Bristol this weekend (but I'll be extremely pleasantly surprised if we win). Let Fuente get through half a season before we decide to anoint him as a future NT winner for the Hokies.

I have full faith that Whit hired someone that would be able to take us to the promised land and win. That Fuente could field a team that could beat a team like Bama. That should be all of our expectations.

I don't expect it to happen over night, but Whit didn't just hire someone that was going to get us back to 10 win seasons, he hired someone that could win the whole damn thing.

If I had the time, I feel like it wouldn't be too difficult to put together a web scraper to pull down data from either the ESPN box scores for each game that week, or one of the CFB stats sites.

Actually, for the sake of LOLUVA - I might make the time to do this sometime this week or weekend. Stay tuned...
