Favorite architect is tough: Of those I have met, I like Bjark Ingles. Bjark is pretty nice guy, plus his website basically reads as "big dick" (www. big.dk) which is pretty badass. Libeskind is great and very kind. Zaha was bold and a lot of fun if you didn't work for her. Kengo Kuma, I think has a really amazing way at looking at space. Heatherwick produces some of the best lines I have ever seen. Reiulf Ramstaad is a great practice that I think is coming up. Of all time though... hmmm... Corb, Burnham because I am a Columbian Exposition nerd and I love the quirkiness of Buckminster Fuller because I am a futurist at heart.
Biggest dicks I have met in the arch world go to Gehry and Rem, hands down. Those two are so far up their own ass it's ridiculous. But I have no problem with free-form design, and I think we will see a lot more of it in the green movement where the building either conforms with the chaotic, free form of nature or strikes brazenly through it.
Most overrated architect in my opinion (not that you asked): frank lloyd wright
I have not been to the Taubman but I think it looks great. What I hate most is blanket conformity. What I find usually makes things the most appealing is where you set a pattern language and then pick the places where you diverge. London is a great example of this (as are many European cities). London proper was rebuilt after the war to look as it was. But what makes the city really amazing today is how that pre-war conformity is broken up with amazing modern architecture and design. It favors both the old arch and the new arch, making both more attractive.
I could do this all day and still love it.
Turner Gill thinks Caddyshack needs a remake, starring Zack Galifianakis.

"Wait...you're not a member of TKPC? Next question!"
I think we can find a place for him.
Why wasn't that #1 on SC Top 10 this morning? Oh myyyyyy
Even if he has already made up his mind on a school, a player of this caliber making this gesture online says a lot about the state of our recruiting right now.
I think the fact that he is asking to visit campus speaks volumes
15-20 great snaps a game would make a huge difference
Voted for the UVA game!
Did they beat that single wing though?

Man it's crazy not to see a Fuller anywhere on the depth chart.
Having sat in the press box to work a high school showcase this summer, that new press box looks amazing and is much needed. I had about 4 fans going in that room and it was still about 85 in there.
The look the opposing team's Centers and Guards will be priceless when they see a quick and nimble 330 lb giant come in to spell the starting Seniors. Simply ridiculous.
Turner Gill insists it's Sam Rodgers.
The creator of Oregon Trail humor says it's pronounced "gokes".

Thought I would bump this thread with more of Tiquest -- saw he shared a clip from their opening game on his Twitter account and yea. Watch for yourself.

RIP

Turner Gill thinks the new Ghostbusters is better than the original
I was all alone in an upper deck section two years ago. It is a dank, depressing atmosphere. I can't speak to the poor efforts prior to Narduzzi's arrival, but he is a stellar defensive coach.

As a Sheriff's Deputy I hated building checks on midnight shift, I would get out and check the doors of every church, closed for the night business and other public buildings in my patrol area. I also disliked that my department still used carbon copy for reports, so if I screwed up I would have to write a whole new report.
As a firefighter I disliked people using EMS as their personal doctor. Tooth aches, stomach aches, a cough, jammed toes and fingers the list of BS I've taken to the ER is long.
I loved stopping DUI drivers. Nothing gave me more pleasure than locking someone up who was drunk driving.
As a firefighter I love the fire family. We would eat meals together, shop together, watch TV, work out all as a shift. Nothing compares.
