I mean the coaches that people usually say "Trust the coaches" did put him at DT after trying him at DE to start, correct? Might want to wait for the season to play out before we assume he might not be back at DT at some point.
It's basic coach speak and a common issue for the first week. You'll see the likes of Saban and Dabo saying the same thing.
This is an excellent article to get my first-Tuesday-of-a-game-week started.

We just need some guys to step up in some spots, in particular special teams, and bring some guys along
This......this kind of makes me nervous. I'm probably just overthinking it but I'm having flashbacks of the last Bama game and I'd really like to not see that again.
I refuse to worry about having to worry about an unlikely outcome.
Turner Gill uses Doggy Dental Spray so the neighbor's dog won't bite him.
last time we lost to a FCS team we ran the damn table afterwards
That being said, yeah, I'd have to talk myself off the ledge if we don't breeze through Liberty this weekend. This is a game where you really should cruise to a win on talent alone.
Yes. It would not exactly inspire confidence. Would probably be followed by a pretty embarrassing loss to Tenn.
And I wish we had gotten him too, he is such a good return man.
Why don't you have a seat over here.
I will neither confirm nor deny that I carry on a regular basis.
But wait, Mihota should be a DT. I think we'll see him primarily inside this year, since he's too slow to be a DE. /s
Ditto, I will never not have a glock on me or nearby.
I would love some info on this as well. Meeting some Vols down there and staying in their RV but we are coming from VA. Need a place to leave our car for a couple nights. Any tips?
Not really. Our staff isn't allowed to pay for him to come here, so he's saying he is looking for a way down, meaning a parent/hs coach/friend has to take him from Pennsylvania to Blacksburg, not always easy to set up. I think it's a pretty safe bet the coaches are open to having him.

# | Fuente and Foster Discuss Hokies' Depth Chart Intricacies, Announce Special Honor for Frank Beamer you just talked with Coach Fu about personnel groups,
Love that Foster calls him Coach Fu :D
Kinda funny seeing this now knowing Torrance Gibson was just suspended for a whole year from anOSU
"I like Mook where he is right now," Foster said. "He can be versatile as a whip and as a nickel. I think as we move forward, with certain personnel groupings, I think you'll see Anthony in more in 21 or 12 personnel, multiple tight ends, or multiple back looks. But Mook, right now, gives us that versatility to be able to do both. So I think sometimes that's a positive for us from the standpoint that we're not sending up a red flag when we're getting in our nickel package or doing things of that nature where sometimes that happens when you start substituting packages and that type of things and then offense now, they have a plan and an idea of how they wanna attack you with certain personnel groups.
I know that Mook gives us some versatility that isn't always available but I wonder if this isn't where Bud wants to head with this position permanently since the Whip is used so little these days. Either way I like being able to get Mook on the field on a more consistent basis.
That is not always the case. A couple of years ago, Isaiah McKenzie (now at UGA) wrote on twitter than "Virginia Tech is my dream school." After he wrote that, he immediately got an offer and took an official visit. I think it was apparent that his intentions were not completely pure. It's a little ironic that Shane Beamer is now the ST coach at UGA.
This is a pretty understated aspect of most of our defensive breakdowns that have drawn the ire of fans. There have been plenty of times where the scheme wasn't the issue, it was players failing to execute or make a tackle.
a pattern language
I was recently gifted this book (if this term is indeed from there) but have yet to crack it open; it's quite the intimidating tome. Something worth the time investment to read?
That's the closest I get to an actual question, but between thoughts on design/entrepreneurship, insights into international living, and the fact that my dad is an architect doing assisted living in China (thus, I hear about it often) this has been a fascinating AMA, thanks!
A good clean game with no injuries.
Georgia Tech Game
So you ended up with an "oh" face.
Deon Clarke was much more tentative blitzing his senior year.

I was actually eating at Sal's in Blacksburg next to Coach Lefty when this whole deal was going down. Lefty was pretty pissed about the kid to be honest. He was talking about how short he was and how there was nothing he could do with him on offense but they still had to spend the day taking him around and showing him everything even though he knew he wouldn't use him.
