Update: Blaney just qualified 4th for the race Saturday night, probably one of the teams better weekends. Just did an interview with him decked out in his Tech gear talking about running into plenty of fans. Pretty awesome to see that car on the track.

2012 defense was awful first half of the season and somehow, incredibly smothering the second half. Over our last x (can't remember exactly) games of 2012 we averaged like 230 yds/game defensively and that carried over into our stout defense of 2013

Hey folks...this is not only off topic but not even on-topic for this conversation but hear me out right quick:

I was in a coworker's office and I saw a framed picture on her desk. I immediately recognized it as a picture that had been posted on this website at one point but despite my searching, I could not find it.

The image in question looks like a port city in the Mediterranean from a distance with a table that had many colorful umbrellas over it. I remember someone commenting on it but I can't find it, nor can I remember the place or any of the conversation that went along with it, but I do recall that someone had said they were sitting 'right there next to the umbrellas' or something along those lines.

My coworker claimed that it had been taken on her iPhone so I'd like to see if I can find it and find the OP of the image. Can anyone help here?

EDIT: Sorry for adding noise to the board. I found the post but the image is gone:

And now I know that Alum07 has been incognito, but also is a coworker of mine. I found you out, Gr
I KeyPlayed harder than all of you today.

I tried to convince a friend and alum to sign up for the site and become a keyplayer. His response? "All I ever do is pay attention to the tweets," to which I responded, "WHERE DO YOU THINK THE FUNDING FOR THE TWEETS COMES FROM". No dice

Sometimes things work out unexpectedly well. Before me and my girlfriend broke up fairly recently (it's OK she went to JMU anyway) we were planning a trip to Asheville with some of her friends, and the equal split for everyone was $84. Long story short, I was able to get a refund of my portion just in time to join the Club. Hooray football!

I fell you my man!

Came to Tech chasing an NROTC scholarship, but turns out they frown on switching from Engineering to Political Science!

But because NJ has such god awful tuition rates to begin with it was actually about 5% cheaper to stay at at VT then to transfer to Rutgers.

Finally joined! I can't imagine not having this site. I might actually have to get work done during the day. I don't often comment, but I'm always on here throughout the day. Thanks for everyone's hard work!

Speak for yourself!

Schultz was love, Schultz was life.

Nowhere on campus today has as good breakfast as they did. The Blue Plate at Fire Grill is a pale imitation, I should know I served them.

All the breakfast food you could fit into a container for 5 bucks, plus a drink, whats not to love!

Or easy to get lunch sandwichs, and the bar, and it was rarely anyone but cadets, so yeah it might have been crowded as fuck at 0750 but it was like Fire Grill toda, as much about that social gathering as the food.

Plus Band Company always had our Company meals on the London Broil days, though there was never anywhere near enough steak sauce.

so I'm starting to do some data farming for a little project that I hope to publish for TKP before the season starts

the Miami game last year was weird. We only went 3-and-out once and punted twice. The 4 turnovers we committed (to their 0) really killed us in that game.

Edit: Small teaser

We punted on 37% of our offensive possessions*
We averaged 5.4 plays per drive*

I haven't crunched the numbers for Memphis but I have to imagine they are much better

*these are based on raw data including overtimes, kneel down victory formations, etc.
