Heard a little bit on why this is the case...

Evans has a really bad knack for trying to fit passes into bad spots and is bordering a turnover machine in practice and scrimmage. Jackson protects the ball. Fuente isn't going to play a QB who consistently turns the ball over to the other team, and right now, Evans hasn't progressed nearly as much in the mental game as the coaches were hoping/expecting him to progress this fall. The starting QB spot very much is in the air, and Jackson is getting very close to actually winning the battle.

If Jackson is as good as everybody seems to think he might be, he won't be here five years. If it is getting close to the Liberty game and it is still a true three way competition, I think Fuente needs to discuss the opportunity of burning the redshirt with him. Then you give all three of them time against Liberty with the #1's, who cares if the score is 60-3. Learn something meaningful, don't put him in garbage time to just hand off the ball.

Sad thing is, current freshmen probably aren't old enough to remember that happening live

That's really cool. We couldn't make it, but definitely planning for next year. Maybe the setup and timing will be improved upon.

I had a professor that invested in Real Estate on the side. If you ever wanted to derail a lecture you would simply just ask a real estate question. In my mind I see Roth derailing lectures with awesome stories of the Hokies. Or at least I wish it to be the case
