Justin Fuente worked miracles at Memphis but does not inherit much cause for excitement on either side of the ball in Year 1.
who is Stewart Mandel and has he been under a rock? Just because VT went 7-6 last year doesn't mean there is no cause for excitement. This guy clearly doesn't realize this VT squad that Fuente is inheriting actually has more talent than the Memphis team he built
LOL he has FSU beating Pitt in the ACC CG. I doubt either team actually gets there. I think Clemson wins Atlantic handily...(does FSU even have a QB this year?) and I can think of 3 other teams more likely to win the Coastal than Pitt. (UNC, Miami, VT)

No they won't. Their coach even came on the radio a week ago talking about all the new faces and having a lot to learn in a short amount of time. It will be his biggest coaching challenge in a long time. I mean sure , I want them to do well at their division but I don't predict good things week 1

Something like this for VT shouldn't be too hard to do/get? Here's UCF's nothing too special but clearly a moving billboard.
Tech doesn't even have a tractor trailer at all. They have 2 shorter "moving" type trucks with Beamer Ball on them. So not sure what they are going to wrap them in this year.

I guess I was excited by his gaudy statistics in JC, in only 10 starts, and especially his very few interceptions. I know, JC isn't D1, but you'd think his success passing would give him a leg up. But that's why they have competition. If the frosh is as good or better than the others, you have a multi year starter with a huge possible upside. Man I'm glad I'm a fan and not a coach.

Man. That's terrible. That's bulletin board stuff. He is getting destroyed on twitter for it as well. I've seen Miami fans on there say he's stupid for picking us to finish 6th.
I think it would be cool to do to Liberty what we did to App. State a couple years ago. I'm not expecting that, by any means, but it would set the tone for the season.
I hope he starts out each class with:
"And now... from the green lawns of the Upper Quad to the murky waters of the Duck Pond, Virginia Tech COMM 3304 is now in session!"
I was there for a while since I worked there through my masters and I totally remember this group. But for all the others who just have no idea. This song is played on repeat at all LU sporting events.
Main reason I can't go see them play. SOO Many white people dancing badly and dad jokes as insults from the student section at the opposing team.
I definitely am looking for a sound victory BUT Liberty is not going to be in duck and cover. I think they are going to do a lot better than most are predicting.
Makes me even sadder to see a community college with that and VT still renting tractor trailers from Hertz.

she loves where she's at that's for sure. If it was me I would look around to gauge interest, never a bad thing to market yourself especially with all the positive reviews going around.
actually Wyatt just walked on at miss st. (they lost a couple QBs) and needed to build depth. idk if he will ever see the field. but its interesting to see after he said he was NOT going to play football there.
im interested to see how franklin does too at auburn. I honestly don't think hes that good but I guess we will get to see.

Well the only reason I don't remember hearing that iconic call on the radio is because I was too busy standing on the bleachers next to my dad watching the play unfold.
One of my favorite, if not THE favorite, memories of Tech football.
I don't know, in that pic he doesn't look any smaller than the other guys. Dudes got some guns as well.
