I hope the ACC can get back to a nine game conference schedule

was the ACC ever at a nine game conference schedule? I don't think they were...before expansion there was no need for it. I'm not a huge fan of 9 game conference schedules but it's better than the garbage we have now where we only play teams from the other division once every 7 years or something. That is the most asinine scheduling agreement I can think of.

Some teams are going to balk at it..namely those who already play power 5 out of conference teams (GT, FSU, CLEM)....because having to play 10 games against power 5 teams can make it hard on teams who play SEC rivals at the end of the year. I say nut up or shut up...but that doesn't change the fact they'll complain.

The schedule does need to be restructured but I'm not sure how best to do that. 9 game conference schedule just might be the answer...we'll see

I have the opposite problem here. The channels, as far as I can tell, only show the events live. So at night I can watch all the heats for swimming but the final rounds happen between 5 and 7am. Maybe they show replays of the events that Russia wins gold in but I am not very interested in those sports.
As far as gymnastics, I like the way NBC has always done it. I am not a huge fan of it and can only handle small doses with breaks in between.

If it's brought out, it's because we are in the 4th and up by three scores. I love that. If people think it's the Noles chanting, they are intelligent enough to get into FSU.

yeah but when FSU is losing on the road and you year the "Toma-mock" chant you know that it's mockery and it brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart..

that might have more to do with the unknowns of Evans...just sayin'

I honestly don't mind who starts. I'm certain the coaches know far more than I ever will about the QB position and they're not going to jeopardize their own careers by not picking the best guy.

It's kind of silly debating who we think will (should) start but ultimately it really doesn't matter what we, the fans, think about it. I have all the confidence in the world that QB1 is the best suited for the job when all is said and done.

Fencing :( :( :( They show barely any of it on TV (where I'd be able to DVR it) so I have to stream it on the DL at work... Plus the early rounds are at 5 AM my time, NO THANK YOU SIR

As for the Primetime broadcast, I only get to watch about half of each night's before bed. I then watch the other half the next evening before turning on the new one...

Just had an epiphany. If you had no talent on your team and wanted to run off as many players as possible to free up scholarships, what could be more devastating to a player than being told that they aren't good enough to even practice with the team ? Makes perfect sense now.

100%.

I'm not bringing my kid right now because he's 3 and it's not gonna work. We did a dry run last week with Salem Red Sox baseball and he couldn't stay seated for more than two minutes. Not fair to him, not fair to the people up and down the row he'd hit accidentally as he runs past, and damn sure not fair to my $200+ to get us all there, in, and back.

But when LittleCVT is ready in a couple years, I can tolerate telling him after a turnover that people are angry and using inappropriate language, we're not going to do that at home. I'm not gonna lie that I haven't sworn a time or six at Lane. Having to do that after every play, though, will just make the experience miserable for all of us. I'd like to teach him to be a Hokie. And even discounting kids, a stadium full of foulmouthed dickheads isn't what I want Virginia Tech to be. I can go to Maryland or WVU for that.

To be fair, I still think Xhaka is one of the best EPL signings this summer. And they could have more coming (Mustafi or bust at this point, really). But yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that they couldn't get anything else done after starting the summer so strong with Xhaka.

All that had to happen was for everyone to ignore his post. He'd get it after a couple times, and this is just my own personal opinion, but I'd rather scroll past his post of two athletes than the long thread after it.

The irony in derailing the thread by discussing the derailment of said thread is strong. No hate at all though.

Rule #1: Always, always double bag your bourbon.

And if it's Evan Williams 1783, I recommend triple bagging. Strong stuff it be.
