# | What other Cities could the ACC move the Conference Championship Game to. My top options, in order from best to worst:
- Charlotte - Central location, works for everyone, fun city, relatively cheap city (great for students)
- DC - Geographically easy for most fan bases to get to, cool city
- Baltimore - Nicer stadium than DC, but less stuff in walking distance. No public transit.
- Home team host the game - this would be a unique experience for students and season ticket holders. Great for athletic departments and local economies of small towns. Definitely gives a significant advantage to the home team.
- Jacksonville - Meh, not as far as tampa, not bad if both teams are from south of DC.
- Atlanta - Great city for college football, but it's an SEC city first.

Wayward pines was similar in that it was originally intended to be a single season. They took the story a little farther in season 2, which I have enjoyed, but not as much as the original. If you haven't watched wayward pines and enjoyed this show, I highly recommend you try it out.
At the risk of beating a dead horse, they don't.
Currently there is one source of income for the ACC....the media rights deal. ND gets a 1/5 share. So if VT gets 15 million, ND gets $3 million. ND also gets their TV revenue from NBC.
in 2019 there will be two sources of income for the ACC, the media rights deal and the ACCN.
if VT gets 20 million from the TV rights deal, ND gets 4 million...1/5th. If VT gets 5 million from the ACCN, ND also gets 5 million...a full share of that revenue stream. ND still also gets its NBC money.
As long as ND's NBC contract is at least 80% of the base ACC deal, ND will make more money than the other members. But their contract with NBC averages $15 million/year, so it's getting close. Their bump to the rights deal also brought in at least $20 million for everyone else to share.
And they make the network economically viable for ESPN...they are bringing in at least 150% of the carriage $ as all 4 NC schools combined.
There is no scenario where ND gets the same as everyone else in total. But given that most of the ACCN content is NOT football, ND will be providing at least its share of the ACCN content and WAY more than its share of the viewership/income.

The interview in that first one was really cool. For a few spoiler reasons, I feel confident they are going to be able to have another good season without having to rehash the same concept entirely.

I for one love how spread out these recruit lists are starting to shape up. Love getting strong pipelines into other states. Yeah, I know, have to win the state, but doesn't hurt to win other states too. Plus, would be good to be on the other side of, "I don't want to stay close to home" and what not.
Looks like a good weekend and hoping to hear some good news.
I also love the energy that has been happening around recruiting lately.

I like the idea of Baltimore. It's a much better NFL stadium than Snyder's little house of horrors. It's not geographically perfect, but is closer to BC, Cuse, and Pitt (the most likely of the three to actually play in an ACCCG). It's also pretty close to a large amount of ACC alumni.
Best of all, it would be like a huge middle finger to Maryland.
Exactly. As usual, fernley gets it. This is why I included the last part of that Teel quote. This deal just isn't nearly as lucrative without Notre Dame. It's not like networks are frothing at the mouth to get that sweet Wake Forest content. You give ND a decent share because they make significantly more money available to all of the schools. ND being involved nets more money for VT. I don't see how that is viewed as a bad thing.
And like Teel pointed out, ND gets a full share of network revenue, but they don't get a full share of all of the money that ACC schools get out of the deal.
Charlotte, Orlando, Norfolk, Jax, Tampa, DC...all Southwest Air destinations, sooo...
you can probably fly for like 89 bucks.
I heart Southwest.
Edit: Just tried to log on to Southwest, hahaha...then I read the news...maybe driving is best.
Looking at pictures, it looks like the usual visitor section is 117-120 (upper level) and if there is enough interest, they put them in the same area of the lower bowl as well.
The ACC has already said they aren't moving the contest this year. They won't move it until their current contract is up at the earliest.

# | Virginia Tech Football Commits reach Four-star ranking as 247Sports shows them some love 45th in the Composite rankings, 32nd in 247's rankings.
It still looks pretty much like that. The stadium is still that shape and it still holds like 20,000 people
I agree that it was a solid hire, and look forward to an uptick in ACC performance as well. With all that Whit has had to do to get us moving, I haven't been disappointed yet with any of his picks. Whether we move out of the cellar this year or not, after all it even took Buzz a couple of years, I do believe we will be competitive sooner than later.
Now, on to baseball, Whit!

I went to Stanford-Notre Dame in 2010 and the area you described was mostly Stanford fans, so I think you are correct.
