If they are pulling out of Charlotte because of HB-2, I agree with you that it wouldn't be with a plan already in place to rotate back. My future rotation speculation wasn't meant to be related to that—it is along the same reasons the ACC basketball tourney already rotates. Also, if Notre Dame ever joins the ACC as a football member, I can guarantee part of the deal will be agreement to rotate the game (assuming it's not already rotating by that point).

From what I understand, the visitor tickets are allotted in the south endzone, towards the SE corner. Don't quote me on the exact section numbers but I believe it's in 114-120. I believe some are allotted in the lower level, as well, same corner.

The idea that a coach is only worried on his region is laughable. If anything the region recruiter starts the relationship the position coach should be able to close.
For instance Dalton Keene's Primary is Wiles because that's his area but the Secondary is Shibest who is his position coach.
Hooker has Wiles as Primary but look whose Secondary oh man the QB coach Cornelson. Amazing concept damn.

Not sure how you can play DB with your back to the ball and not expect to have a better than average chance of PI, even per college rules. I don't know exactly when that shift in coaching philosophy occurred, or why it occurred, unless it was done in an effort to simplify things in coverage. I know our INTs have been down lately, and based on your "back to the ball" coverage techniques, I can see why.
If the ACC wants to pull out of Charlotte for this year's game, the only realistic option will be to host it at one of the participating schools. It's too late in the game to work out a contract and logistics with an NFL stadium. Longterm, I could see going to a model like the basketball tourney, with Charlotte being the anchor location and rotating through other locations like DC, Tampa, etc.
If the ACC was willing to play the ACC Basketball Tourney outside of NC, I wouldn't rule out the ACCCG rotating to other locations in the future. Charlotte would be the anchor location though and get the game more often, which makes sense geographically.
Living in DC, I'd love to have the game closer, but FedExField really sucks. Hopefully their new stadium will resolve some of the problems but until Snyder sells the team, there are going to be challenges renting his stadium.
I think if there were any good alternatives in RVA, VT would already have looked into it for some neutral site games.
But even UR moved out of City Stadium (partly because it was too big for their needs).
I hope for your sake that South Bend is nicer than the rest of northern Indiana, cause last time I went through that area, it was a real shithole. Reminded me of armpit, northern NJ.
Even having games at FedEx wouldn't put any of them in the actual capital.
That would be cool to have the stadium half full of Hokie fans, and hear the "Let's Go, Hokies!" chant during the Notre Dame Broadcasting Company (NBC) broadcast, as we're cruising to a 47-29 win!
The weekend schedule looks like 8:14 pm, 9:53 pm and 12:46 am I think. But it's not really good layout on the website.
Charlotte is the perfect city for this event. If it has to move DC and Jax could be good and Orlando too- temporarily. Once HB2 is history come back to Charlotte.

I am flying to Chicago and then plan on driving over. I like the train idea. If I am reading the schedule correctly, the Westbound train leaves South Bend at 10:16 P.M. Is that how you read the schedule?

My preference has been for Tom Herman; however, I've heard that he will wait until either the Texas or Texas A&M job comes open. Knowing that there is no way we could get Herman, I think Fuente is the best coach after Herman, so I have no complaints and feel lucky we were able to get him.
So what happens next?? I need to stop watching all the shows I like so fast.

None of the DL and linebackers to an extent want to play their gap anymore. Why doesn't Wiles have a stronger grip on these guys and demand gap integrity?
If I was the coach and that's what my defensive philosophy was centered around then I'd sit those guys and play those who execute my system/technique (just like Fuente sits those WR's who don't block).
Wrong way to look at it.
yeah they are making out big time, and we will have to suffer through the inevitable scenario that will be this:
ALL of us: Ok, honey. Goodnight. Yeah, just going to catch a little TV. Night.
(turns on tv, selecting ACC network)
ALL of us: Another fucking Notre Dame show?!
But I'll take it. Why? because with ND in we get TV MONEY!!!!! Without ND in we get NO tv money #allofthesads
