I'm a huge supporter of this side and have said over and over it's the most talented side to come through the national team set up ever. That's why it was disappointing with the game against Argentina. We gave them too much respect. That was the point I was trying to make. The moment you give a national team too much respect, the come out and smash you. You can't do that in the international game.

I probably have too much irrational confidence in the U.S. voyage in the next World Cup. We're good. That's why it's disappointing to lose those last two games, especially on our own turf. While we did do well in Copa, it was a different "well" than we've seen in the past. Long are the days where we have to out gut our opponents, we can finally outplay them which is why I like seeing Iceland do well.

They're not outplaying anyone. They're good players, but they aren't rolling through with sexy football. It's almost like the 2009 U.S. Confederation Cup team. A group in WAY over their heads, but they say f*ck it, let's go win this.

I didn't see that this summer. I haven't seen that in this side since Howard's Last Stand against Belgium. I think if we can regain that attitude that has been a staple of U.S., along with the growing talent pool, that's the sweet spot on an international level.

I'm positive about the future of US Soccer, but it is definitely pretty easy for us to qualify for the World Cup, that's a pretty solid statement in my eyes.

Virginia has an actual functioning legal system and doesn't kowtow to athletes. They screwed up, got punished and can get clear of it with behaving in conjunction with the actual laws of the state.

That the Alabama DA dropped the charges because they played football probably got him re-elected in Bama but reviled by everybody else.

I really don't understand all the backlash people are giving to US soccer around here. Honestly I was pretty pleased with our performances, one or two boneheaded cards aside.

We're not on the same level as the elite or even 'top level' (depending on where you want to draw the line) international squads yet, but to act like US soccer is some minnow that shouldn't even make a World Cup were we not in an allegedly weaker conference makes no sense.

I'm actually pretty excited because we're starting to see Jurgen's plan flesh out. Look at who our influential players are now. Sure, we're still reliant on guys like Jones and Dempsey, but we're also looking to young talents like Wood and Brooks to take us to the next level, and it's starting to pan out. Next step is to build depth so that guys like Beckerman and Wondo don't get call-ups anymore. But these things take time.

Makes me so f@$#!NG mad that these kids will be punished more than Cam Robinson and Laurence Jones. They had a stolen firearm AND weed.

Luckily with probation, they're still a part of the University, still taking classes, but are on "thin ice" for 12 months.

We still have to wait on Fuente's decision but at least the school's punishment is not as I bad as I was expecting:

Its not so much that we are arguing the same point. It's more that your original point and what we are talking about now are two different things.

probation and deferred suspension both mean you're still in school...reavis was flat out expelled IIRC

from the sound of it, all other governing bodies have had their say. Only thing left is for Fuente to institute his own punishment.

Hi, welcome to TKP. We do puns, emma watson gifs, LOLUVa bashing, and hokie football. During the offseason, expect the three former to far exceed the latter. Enjoy your stay and be sure to come again.

Does the judicial board probation force Fuente's decision i.e. the Reavis situation. Are they still enrolled while under probation from the school?

Tool insisted we bring the kids to Disneyland this year and we are there now.

Tool found the only bar in Disney, it seems, that carries beer other than AB products.
Goto The Hangar Bar near the ferry boat dock in Disney Springs.

Paulaner HefeWeizen with an orange (because that's how I like it when it's hot).

funny, neither of these pics actually take place in the show. Jaime is sitting at the corner of a table I think and the camera work was from a much lower angle. Bronn is never standing. I thought these were stills from the show but I guess they are just staged pics.

But Jon isn't the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

This thread has now come full circle to where you're arguing the same point that I am. :D

From my extensive testing of alcohol, I have found that it makes you more stupider...

Can confirm. Almost failed an easy intro to sociology class because of alcohol. The class was in Surge, and I had a 2 hour break between classes around lunchtime before it. This was the same time that Bud Foster's was across the street, and I went there for lunch and a pint more than I should have. Moral of the story is, Guinness and learnin' don't mix.
