nick acree says hi as well. people were pumping him up as a 5* player based on some camps prior to his senior season.

Seems like every kid is a 3 star nowadays. If he was being ranked as a pure TE i'd probably put him at the low end of the 3 scale range because he's not going to be a receiving threat he'd purely be an extra blocker. I'd probably rank him higher as an OT but still wouldn't impact his ranking that much because you don't see him blocking from the OT position. I don't think he's an early contributor, but rather get a RS in with him bulk him up and put him on the OL because our recruiting there isn't bringing in much anyways. With his arm length and athleticism could end up being a contributor there.

Sam wasn't even the first time we went nuts over the pic of a recruit before he had the chance to put on the pads for VT.

Remember this guy?

I think ford has a more effective season this year, but the stats may decline. With more WRs coming into the mix and a new qb I can't see him getting the same % of looks as he did when we only really had 3 targets (Ford, Phillips and Hodges). Hopefully he's able to keep reeling in the TDs and improve on his YPC and showcase his talents for the next level while also helping free up other WRs to get single coverage and make their mark.

That is a remarkably similar catch in that video to the Danny Coale play in the Sugar Bowl. The ball touches the ground but he has control.

But, in the future, please refrain from posting or mentioning that specific ECU game. Please.

Depends on the kid, but 4 or 5 would work. We took a 2 year-10 month old a few years ago and that was a waste....he doesn't remember it at all and we are going back this fall now that he's 6.

For those of us with multiple kids, it's often a timing issue to get the youngest old enough to remember it (and not need to be carried!) before the oldest is jaded and cynical.

Blasphemy! Sam Rogers shall never be named in the same sentence with another walk-on for any college football team, especially not with one from LOLUVA...

In all seriousness, you have a valid point good sir.

VMI Hokie's kid will be the only one in kindergarten telling people she's 5.3 years old. Not 5, 5.3. Get it right, fools.

gotta be excited for a year where we've got not only a workhorse at RB, but also a mustang at WR.

God I'm twitching in anticipation of football after reading this. CURSE YOU, OFFSEASON!! *shakes fist*

the pass catcher pulled a Michael Corleone, individually eviscerating his enemies while taking the rest of us to church.

This may be the best analogy I've ever read. Great article.
