My daughters have gone many times.
When my oldest was 5 we went to a character dinner in the castle, in costume.
Exiting we got stuck. The fireworks started and we had to stay under the castle until it was done. My daughter became convinced that she was directing the fireworks with the magic wand she got at the dinner.
Yeah, 5 is great. She didn't remember it but I took video. Then she remembered. That's what cameras are for.
The crowd that could be around for that GameDay..with all the people camping? Could be a site to see. Plus if we are lucky they will get Sam Ponder to walk around to all the different camping tailgates to see what sort of trouble everyone is getting in to.

Went to Germany last year with some fellow Hokies and got plenty of Go Hokies at various places. The first night in Munich we went to Hofbrauhaus and within minutes, we had a few college age kids come over and explain they were current students studying abroad for the semester and in Munich for the weekend. When my buddies headed home, I decided to head to Rome for a few days since I had so much vacation time built up at work. The first night I was there, I sat down to grab dinner at an outdoor table of a restaurant. A few minutes later, the door of a small hotel directly across the street opened, and out walked a girl. As she was walking by, she glanced over at my table and immediately did a double take-- it was a Hokie I was friends with. Completely chance meeting - she had gotten into town that day as well and was only there for a night, so we had a nice impromptu dinner to catch-up.

My sophomore year also. I have a picture I took of the East stands with TP flying.
That was my sophomore year, and that was an excellent birthday present (one day in advance). Was kind of a cool rainy day, but nobody cared. The east stands weren't even completed, and it was still the largest crowd to have witnessed a football game in the commonwealth at the time. I think I still have the front page of the Roanoke Times from the following day, with the aerial photo of the crowd. Glorious indeed!

What I meant by that, is that we didn't see the swashbuckling American side we've normally seen in Copa. Where they fight tooth and nail once they go down. Yes, Argentina are good, but we rolled over after that opening goal against them. No bite. Iceland goes down after four minutes, and scores two more before you can even get a grasp on what has happened. So while the Copa finish was good, there was a lot left to be desired the way we whimpered out in Houston.

Agreed, because of personnel diversification and a balanced offense, we have already seen the best statistical seasons from Ford, McMillian and Bucky.
Oh I agree that a lot of other fan bases probably have the problem too.... my thing was why are we throwing shade at their recruiting class when our isn't something to brag home about either.
