I'm not sure he had much demand at a lower level. He didn't win enough at Tulsa. He wasn't a great OC here or at Auburn (extenuating circumstances at both locations, sure). Hell, after auburn he took a job as a co-OC in the UFL.

Pry staff was also way better connected than Fuente's staff. Pry hired guys he had a connection to. Fuente hired guys who had been with him for years at different spots.

Probably because Fuente's dudes were weird dudes that didn't deserve to be coaching in the ACC or the P5. Maybe Vance Vice had the skills, but still a weird dude nonetheless.
Hokies are 11th in ESPN/USA poll. Moved up from 12th. Not surprising as only two Top 10 teams had a single loss each. #4 Nebraska lost to #16 Oklahoma St 2-1 and #9 UCLA beat #6 Florida. Hokies did move past UGA though.

Desiante is the only one that absolutely must win his way in with an ACCQ spot so has to finish 3rd or better.
Curious how many medical forfeit or straight up withdrawals we might see.
Questions for Hokies:
Are Gaj and Desiante healthy?
Can Crook bow up? Same with Sasso.
Looks like Stanford/Hokies tie for highest avg seed here but that's only because Stanford has two #7s. Their other 8 classes total 13, so less than 2 average.

Honestly not sure that Pry wouldn't still be head coach if he had made those moves two years ago instead of in the last year. I think the last crew was good, they just didn't get the time to fix the problems.
Its 9pm in Blacksburg in the middle of the week though so outside of students, crowd may be extremely light, especially after FSU disaster
