This defense will be fine until folks start getting hurt, then itll go straight to the shitter quickly, as will the season. We just dont have the bodies, and for our defense to be good everybody has to carry their weight. There cant be any weaknesses. It really is not much worse than watching our D getting shredded. Its the same tape over and over. When they are good, they are good. But when its bad, its f'n bad. We all remember those nightmarish days. Whether it was WVU in '02 and '03 or Maryland a few years ago or freggin Duke the last few years.

Just seeing this now, sorry for the delay. If I'm saltwater, I've usually got a spin rod with me in case. Whether it gets used or not is another story. I will spin fish in the surf pretty often. If I can throw a fly I will, but I also understand the distance a Hopkins spoon can travel or a one ounce lead weight carolina rigged with finger mullet in late fall versus the limitations a fly rod has. The biggest factor to throwing the fly, particularly in surf, is wind. If it is blowing above 15, it's going to get interesting, depending on what set up I've got with me. It's possible to chuck a shooting head into a stiff wind but it can turn into some work. If I'm on my skiff, I've got 2-3 spin rods rigged for whatever I'm after and at least 2-3 fly rods. As they say, catching one from the sand is worth ten from the boat. Catching one on fly in the sand is probably double the pleasure. Since I'm also an attention whore, fly fishing from the surf/beach can make for some interesting conversation starters. More than once I've had an attractive female approach me asking what I'm doing? it looks cool!

I bet it has been 10 years since I cast a spin rod in fresh water (unless I was teaching a kid or something.) I just won't do it.

You do realize that I was referring to long standing rivalries that are maintained via the permanent crossover? If all cross-divisional games were set to rotating, the divisions would have to be tweaked to allow for those matchups to occur on a regular basis.

Clemson. We need a solid, consistent measuring stick and to strengthen the schedule. Two big, crazy fan bases, famous entrances, and the fans don't seem to like each other. Close enough to commute to both games. Plus constant memories of Macho Harris in 2007 in Tiger stadium.....

how does this impact the white walker invasion of the 7 kingdoms? I need the facts before Sunday sir, just the facts!

Oh no that's cool, I'm sure Joe and Co would be totes chill if major corporations, many of whom have a habit of looking at VT grads when needing new hires, started blocking TKP due to the risque content its members were posting...

Yep, I'm sure they wouldn't mind at all...

Awesome report, one that I will refer to repeatedly - and not a single mind numbing, computer clogging, pop up or click bait!

Thanks, so much. I spend quite a bit of time following the weather, and meteorology in general. I actually prefer my own "forecast" over the news, given all the resources now available on line. I'm into it, especially now living in the Keys. Living on the water, as I have since the 90's, gives you quite the incentive.

I do have a question. I saw a graphic on TV last year, that implied correlating hurricane activity/probability on a certain convergence of 2 separate atmospheric levels, spinning around the tropics at different speeds. I only saw this briefly, and I think it was on the Weather Channel, but it seemed to be a theory that made the case that hurricane development/intensity was much higher when these two rotations "matched" in some way. It certainly worked out from what I saw the week that had me worried, but I have been unable to find anything about it since...

Do you have any idea what I'm referring to, or any links to explore? Thanks.
