# | Paramus Catholic(NJ) among others playing HS games at the Big House this year IIRC VT has hosted a handful of HS games in the past,
I remember turning on the TV and seeing one of the HS state championships just a couple of years ago, and then recognizing the Hokie Stone along the edge of the field. That alone kept my interest for more than a few minutes.
I would love to exact revenge on JMU
John Ballein for many years stressed that we wouldn't go west beyond the big12 getting Nebraska and TA&M before they switched conferences. With Whit in house, I would love a trip out west every once in a while. Especially ASU.
I would love to play the academies. Navy and Tech at M&T Bank Stadium would be crazy.
I wouldn't mind a game or two with Michigan State. I feel like we're similar programs.
VMI would be perfect for Corps Homecoming. At least there's some historical connection there. I'd rather keep the FCS rotation to be in-state, because I can usually get bragging rights over someone I know.

See but if they're an FCS school that means we'll have to pay them to come here and play us. So congrats, you stomped on the team you hate but you gave them quite a bit of money to do so. I'd rather keep the money, not play them, and continue hating them.
I just described Liberty for me. I hate that school, I hate that we're paying them to play us, and if we don't stomp all over their flaming asses I will probably blow my top.
According to a grad school LOLUVA alum they were just using that as an excuse not play on the blue turf when invited because no fans would go, the coach was insulted they were passed over for better bowls by teams with real fans, and it might be cold there in December.

I almost said this, simply for the fact that it seemed wrong that we hadn't played them. But we did, once in the early 90s. Apparently we didn't even rate a home and home at that point.
