Not necessarily a must win. We must get a point. Don't think Paraguay beats Colombia and don't think Costa Rica beats Colombia. If those results hold a draw against Costa Rica and a win against Paraguay will do the job.
I find a lot of the widespread criticism of not getting out of this group to be completely unfair. We're grouped with two quarterfinalists of the last World Cup and one of the most physical teams in the world. We should expect to get four points out of this group. Will it be enough to advance? We'll see. .
Since you're in Indiana, you might find the trip down the road to Notre Dame close enough to get in a quick football fix this year. We live just across the river in Louisville and plan on using the opportunity to check out the campus.
Any design but this! LMAO! I bet this was pulled by DMV.

I didn't know this was a thing, but I'm really glad it is. Hopefully they'll have one where I'm going I and have a schedule that'll allow me to do it.
Campus Emporium (support small Blacksburg business!) always has good stuff, but you do have to pay shipping. I've also bought a lot of stuff off fanatics.com.
Bonus points for advice on post college life, like how to get some semblance of a social life outside of work?

This is the VT plate in North Carolina. The "V" is set and then you choose up to 4 characters. Currently available: VTTKP, VICK7, VTMAN, and VTWMN. Someone wisely took VTDBU.
After the first set of games it's pretty clear that the four best teams in the tournament are: Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Chile; and I think in that order. All four can't make the semis (Mexico would play Argentina or Chile in the quarters), but I think we can expect to see three, or two at the very least.
After those teams it's hard to see much separation, as there's a giant group of teams that have played about the same in: Brazil, US, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica, Paraguay, and Uruguay. And at least two, likely three of those teams won't make it out of the group.
Go USA. Today's a must win.
Not sure why it should be in the US every time. My guess it's because infrastructure, but if they were to do this, they need to go into smaller stadiums. No reason playing games in huge stadiums that aren't being watched. Sure Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, US will draw big crowds, especially closer to the borders, but the CRC/Paraguay game in Orlando was embarrassing. Why not play that in Columbus? A small stadium. A better pitch. Better weather. Gives the tournament more legitimacy.
Portland, Salt Lake, Denver, KC all deserve to be hosting. We have these gorgeous MLS specific stadiums, and more coming, play them there. Let the Rose Bowl host the opening and the final. Let Levi Stadium host a quarterfinal, but these games need to be in soccer specific stadiums.
Was just in Toyota Park in Chicago. Perfect size for these Haiti/Peru/Jamaica/Venezuela games.
Devils advocate Charlotte and Greensboro are less than 3. But I agree with your overall sentiment.
Unfortunately, I believe the biggest challenge for VT recruiting is our location. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Blacksburg and the New River Valley, but our closest proximity to a "recruiting hotbed" is 3 hours (Richmond).
I can easily see a 757 kid get discouraged on his first ride to Blacksburg, thinking "I have to drive this far every time?". Especially, when they pass LOLUVA on I-64 and still have another 2 hours to go.
Obviously, this isn't the case for every recruit, but I don't think any of us can deny our location sucks for recruiting.

Seems like he is going between 2 camps to get alone time with the coaches.
Micro Camp is on June 16 and the 5 - 9 grade QB camp starts on June 20.
Thanks ashore. I will give it another try.
Or "Don't be a Hoo, wrap dat Tool."
A VT version of this would be "Wrap your Hokie before you Pokie."
The fact that this is linked on the MLS website makes it even more interesting:
Report: Plans to host Copa America in USA every 4 years under consideration
if only this were animated, then it would be a...wait for it...pointless gif

Just for fun...

Robinson was a beast down the stretch, im lookin for a breakout year for him.
Judson plans to visit for three days later this month...
I will be in Blacksburg,VA Next Friday June 17-20 to Visit Virginia Tech #GoHokies #STATEment17 #letsgohokies #GoHokies FLVA— Bruce Judson Jr (@4way_lilbruce) June 6, 2016
So is there a camp this month or is this kid just choosing to visit for 3 days?
the American top gear is rubbish. I tried to watch one episode of it (mostly out of curiosity, more than anything) and it was so awful that I couldn't even get through the entire episode. I haven't even had the same curiosity about the new BBC Top Gear. I'm just expecting it to be awful. I'm really looking forward to Grand Tour
the sponsors and organizers for the Battle at Bristol would never allow it

I've lived all over the country, and trying to get the games where VT is going to crush the opponite is not easy.
Also think about this. You broadcast FSU/Clemson exclusively on the network. Is there a bar in the country that is not going to pony up to be able to provide that game. That's the kind of leverage you would have if you went online exclusive.
