So the High School just got money to not have shit facilities, not seeing how that is bad for kids anywhere. Besides if the worry is that Coaches will act as gate keepers for proffered schools, you act like that doesn't happen already. And in the end it is up to the kid and to a degree his parents/ guardians to decide how open or closed they want the recruitment to be, if they really want to be recruited by a certain school it wont matter what the coach says, and last I checked the scholarship limit is still 85 total and 25 in a year, even if a school were to corner the market on HS coaches they coudltn take everyone, not even all the good ones, and that breeds resentment and hardens feelings.
That's fine, there is no requirement on either end, either for a kid to be accessible to every school, or for those close to him to have preferential schools. Maybe the HS coach gets burned on the guest colleges when they spend more time with guest players than ones from his own school, now that college has wasted their money potentially.
If the environment continues like it already is ( we are fooling ourselves if we think coaches don't already do this) but now maybe the schools have a new and thus more effective/safe/modern weight room or can afford a nutrition program to better prepare the kids that seems like a net win.
But the coaching staff that got fired was the one who started the recruiting turn around, and several of the payers that graduated last year were recruited by Davis as HS rising juniors in 2011.
that scandal had nothing to do with the current coaching staff at unc and they are recruiting well despite that hanging over them...
I've been on the fence and there is a very good case for it but I don't think it's all that complicated. I don't think he needs to write that letter to save Sansa. He can do it just by throwing the Knights of the Vale in anyway. He definitely is up to something, but I think Ramsey wrote the letter.

I agree with the theory, I just have a hard time seeing the final end game come together (assuming the end game is sitting on the iron throne).
Littlefinger is definitely up to some shit though and I cant wait to see how it plays out.
I can certainly see us beating Brazil. I can see both US and Brazil either winning this whole thing or falling flat, honestly. No one in Brazil gives a shit about this tournament so I wouldn't surprised to see them play outstanding soccer since there's no pressure. They collapsed under expectations in 2014.

Only to have the guy tossed.

Besides Clemson what non-blue blood has ever started suddenly recruiting at an elite level?
For starters, UNC, and they were very close to sneaking into the playoff last year had they held onto their lead over Clemson in the ACC title game.
For others? Ole Miss ran most of the 2014 season in the Top 5 before collapsing late, and they sucked before suddenly recruiting their asses off.

Usually, the ACC is fair in giving both teams the same number of days off heading into a Thursday night game. So, either both teams have the bye or both teams play the Saturday before.
However, I think we're getting slightly shafted with Pitt. We play on Saturday 10/15, then Thursdays 10/20 and 10/27. Pitt plays Saturday 10/15, followed by a bye, and then they play us on Thursday 10/27. Like they need any more advantages.
(I guess their rule is don't give only one team a short week.)
Well considering bob bradley was handed quite possibly a golden generation of players I think his numbers are skewed.
He has tim howard, clint dempsey, landon donovan, michael bradley, and jermaine jones, in their primes. His style of play was also a boot it long and hope for a break on the counter. Youll never compete consistently at a high level doing that and it showed. In the big tournaments we were either boom or bust. I think weve been much more consistent in tournament play under klinnsman. Furthermore he has been experimenting a lot more with formations and positions in friendlies. Which everyone who thinks that is a bad thing is flat wrong. Thats when you want to tinker to get better. Bob bradley always kept to the same formation and the same tactics. You might get a lucky break once or twice and make a run but you'll never improve consistently
Furthermore everyone talking about youth development... You wont see the results for a few years. Bob bradley took over and got a good first crop. Ok, he didn't exactly train them up from day 1 he was around for 6 years and the talent level slowly dropped off to the point that it is now. Outside of nagbe how many really good players do we have between the ages of 20 to 28. Not to many, and I think thats on Bradley the kids were between 14-22 when klinsmann took over and 8-16 when bradley took over. To extend success youve got to be able to make that talent come out of the wood works
Klinsmann has been in charge for 6 years now and were already seeing players that at 16-22 are making a name for themselves. Players that wouldve been 10-16 when klinsmann took over. Ok our youth system isnt perfect but youve gotta admit its trending in the right direction. I think we'll see in the next 2 years if klinnsmann is for real but I think the guy has earned himself another world cup. It's not like weve crashed out in the group stages every tournament.
The camps are going to get out of control when this happens: High School of Star Player John Smith hosts camp for colleges to come, Nike sponsors said camp and pays the High School 100,000 dollars, other kids want to come to said camp and pay 50-100 dollars a person to come, now who gets that money? What stops a college from paying a high school a "fee" to host their own camp on that High School field and thus pushing that coach to push his players to that school? IMG Academy, a High School, in Florida just got paid 150,000 by Michigan to host their summer workout there. With no rules to camps this is the future of camps.

Our coach is from the line of basically the only P5 school in Texas without a current scandal and recent success.
We need to get down there, we have never really had an in, now we have a coach and a recent starting QB(from one of the more prominent HS's and areas).
Just because we let our standing slip and didn't create a network where we can call up other programs to tag team, doesn't make the rule bad, it means we were lax on another aspect of the game in the end.
We always here about the entire or just defensive staff visiting schools like Ole Miss or Missouri over the summer to swap ideas, boom lets start joint hosting camps, double down.
But if you're not inherently a big name school and / or located in the SEC that you're at a distinct disadvatage in the first place. The reason the SEC isn't on that list is because they have basically every single other benefit going for them, not to mention a lot of them have shady recruiting practices.
Look at the schools with recent success - ones who haven't traditionally been a power. You'll note that they're mainly in the camp of these sleek uniforms. We need to get with that or we risk being left behind completely - we have no tradition nor would we have new uniforms - and that's a scary thought.
