I agree that the White Walkers will come and dominate and be an unstoppable force ... until Dany, Tyrion and Jon Snow (I believe LittleFinger will play his part here too) beat them back with real, actual Dragons and wildfire.

Fort Belvoir is a great course. Long. I used to play there quite a bit when I worked as a civilian on base.

Minor correction - the Walkers are the four guys that lead the whole army. They're superhuman and need to be killed with Valyrian steel or obsidian. Those that die get resurrected as wights, who, while strong, are not nearly as hard to kill. Burn them all...

If this scenario plays out, and the Walker army invades King's Landing, this could be where we see the wildfire explosion. Whoever is in charge goes nuclear, leveling the city and the Walker army in the process. There are enough Valyrian blades in/near the capital to take care of the Night's King and his cronies, if wielded by good swords(wo)men (Jon, Brienne, etc). Of course, the Night's King can make more Walkers, but that seems to be much rarer, otherwise there'd be nothing but Walkers following him. Perhaps because Craster's sacrifices stopped?

Yeah, I actually think the 2nd one is not only plausible, but likely.

There is one constant in this entire series - you cannot stop the undead army. The people of Westeros have been warned, and they don't care or believe that undead army even exists. After seeing what happened at Hardhomme, is there any doubt of the series ending without them ruthlessly overtaking an essentially helpless Westeros? Valyrian steel and obsidian seem to be weaknesses, but doesn't seem like there's enough around to make a difference.... and, oh right, every single human death immediately becomes a White Walker.

I just feel like the storyline getting overlooked the most is going to be the one that deals the final blow.

This is the only way I can properly express my mixed feelings about this...

There are 2 ways I see this all playing out. One, you have Jon and Sansa reclaim the North, come riding to Kings Landing in a blitz, conquering everything in their path, get held up at the wall, when they meet up with Dany's army, who has been conquering everything to the south. Stuff happens, they realize they're of the same lineage, so they team up, and right as they're about to conquer everyone, here comes Euron Greyjoy, with the heads of Theon, Yara on a pike, possibly with others former leaders of castles he's conquered as well, like possibly Sansa if she was left in Winterfell, with the Dragonbinder in hand, taking control of Dany's dragons, completely shifting the tide, and the series closes out with a battle that sees Dany's army turn on her, as she no longer has the dragons, and they quickly fall, get killed ruthlessly, and bam, Euron sits on the throne.

Everything plays out, Dany or Jon gets the iron throne, and just as everything seems to be buttoning up real nice, the series closes right as you see the White Walker army completely overrun Kings Landing, making it very clear that the whole story was focused in the wrong place, and that none of the dealings of power mattered because everyone was ignoring the true enemy, and they didn't realize it until it was too late. Series ends as the undead army, led by Hodor, and every other now-dead beloved character who wasn't burned, breaks through into the great hall ambushing a defenseless group including Jon, Sansa, Tyrion, etc. Just an immediate cut to black as it happens.

Just means that the students are gonna be chomping at the bit for that Thursday night game, should be an incredible atmosphere

in your scenario, conferences may encourage teams to throw their conf tourney in order to get a 2nd bid (or teams who are already in will rest players, etc). while that may be a cynical view, i think my 96 team version where the conf tourney champs (and only the conf tourney champs) get a bye into the round of 64 would ensure no one take the conf tourneys for granted. one less game and 2-3 extra days of rest is too big a prize to ignore, even if you have already punched your ticket via the regular season.
