Even the great Peyton Manning and his Vols couldn't beat those pesky Gators.

Ironically, their one national championship in the modern era ('98) came the very next year after Manning left.
I don't want to live in a world where my kids know what a defeat to LOLUVA feels like.
No dismissive rants made here. Just the Rolling Stones really pushed the boundaries of rock music in terms of paving the way for genres like metal. I won't say that the argument is greater one way or the other. I would say that the argument (at least for me) is equal. That's why I said arguably. I ain't gonna snuff the Beatles. And for the reference, Foo Fighters and Newsboys are my fave bands.
Seems like as good a time as any. This thread is starting to get a little unwieldy as it loads up, and I think we have exhausted most of the conversation to this point.

US adds Castillo in for injured Chandler. Get their left back that will allow Johnson to move up if needed.
Would like to see us roll out vs Colombia:
Right to Left:
Guzan
Yedlin-Cameron-Brooks-Castillo
Bradley
Jones-Nagbe-Johnson
Depmsey-Wood
Bay Rivers District!
I keep wondering what all of this "Tennessee in the 90's" crap is about.

The only comparison for Curry is Pistol Pete. If that's how far back you have to go for a decent comparison then he's doing something right.
It was a rhetorical question, really didn't think anyone was gonna go back and actually count. A lot nicer then most hs qb deep balls I've seen
Chase Pine. Appears to play OLB as well.
And last point, who is number 11 and how many deep throws landed perfectly during full stride
I went back and watched again after reading your comment. IMO just 1. The rest looked like Hezy slowed his stride a bit to have it land in his hands. Nice toss with good air under it, and a great adjustment by Hezy to make it look easy, but not quite full stride.
His highlight video is one of the best I have ever seen. He makes guys look SILLY out there, I am very excited about his potential. I also feel like he could be in line to play his FR year if he enrolls early. Absolutely filthy
Let's not find out anytime soon
Interesting, the internets say it's Chase Pine the LB that committed to Pitt over us.
US youth system is broken. We're touting Nagbe like he's a new shiny object. He's 25...that's too late to peak for sustainability of your teams. We need to be getting these players to making World Cup debuts at 23/24 so they have 3 cycles. Look at the stalwarts of our teams of past: Dempsey, Donovan, Bradley, Beasley all making WC debuts in their early 20s and playing well there.
College system by-and-large doesn't work. The pay to play model in the youth academies don't work. Compared to kids literally everywhere else, it's broken. I'm not saying playing NCAA Division 1 is a low level of soccer, but compared to these 17-18 year olds in England playing in League 1 and the Championship on loan, it's a whole nother ballgame.
Not trying to be Johnny Rain Cloud here or anything, but you will find it unusual for HS players to do much dapping, dabbing, and dancing and such in the end zone. Most HS leagues have very, very strict anti-celebration policies.
At least we do here in North Cackalacka. 15 yarders are handed out for just pointedly high-fiving in the end zone around here.
He plays that, I'm gonna act like I'm gonna just jog out of bounds trick, then hit another gear up the sidelines, really well!
Also I guess he's not the kind of player to pay attention to "Peter" calls. Dude picked up punts that typically most players are running from.
And last point, who is number 11 and how many deep throws landed perfectly during full stride
Yeah... let's never talk about his defense again because he had a few steals late in the game. Love those small sample sizes.
I always thought I was the only one. Those things stand out to me.
Heck, I can't even remember what that feels like.
Leg for bringing that up!
Brother Hezekiah is in the house!

Will the announcers be able to pronounce his name?

Somebody say "757"?!
