What a boost for the program! Nice momentum here!
In the first video, that drive at 1:00, wow.
These are still 17-18 year old kids, after all.

If that's the mindset, then why care who commits? Why care about recruiting at all? In fact, why have a dedicated forum to collegiate sports where we openly discuss college aged athletes?
Good grief, I've seen wet blankets before, but my goodness.
Also the people of Pennsylvania really need to demand better sunshine laws.
Special Agent Dale Cooper :)
You had better be watching. The Hokies will be participating, of course!
I guess Moorehead and Sumlin have never recruited kids who gave a verbal commitment somewhere else? Wasn't AM still here when we flipped Ford?
Jokes aside. This is just sick. Allowing that to continue for that long is just disgusting. The optics are incredibly bad (in more ways than one). This just sickens me.
The DOJ has done pattern and practice investigations of PD's with a lot less victims complaining. Plus the DOJ is already investigating schools like UVA for their handling of sexual violence this would roll right into that.
These pun threads are the Shibest! We must Foster these, they must continue. I'll stop here, Wiles I wait for more. Carry on.
Naw, we're saving the Smithfield kind for our first Chinese recruit.
Sure, French. Too bad I don't have Charley Wiles' photographer, pics were pretty bad, but if you have a free moment, please do. One day, I'll learn how...one day...
I miss Jon Stewart *sad face*
This! 1000%

that seems like an awful lot of money to spend on an investigation surrounding the acts of a monster which has already been apprehended.
I'm not saying that it's not worth investigating but public officials who make those decisions might think its a waste of money.
I don't disagree with that narrative at all. I just think we should be cautious in making statements like this:
This is the kind of player who turns a good program into a great one.
These are still 17-18 year old kids, after all.
or why clay dean is a walk-on. everyone does it.
I'm just saying, I find it humorous that he's blasting kids for bouncing from commitment to commitment the second something better comes around, when he's broken contracts to bounce from job to job the second something better came around for him.
Don't preach loyalty when you really don't practice it yourself.
That was a criminal investigation of a few people. I'm talking a pattern and practice investigation of local PD, a RICO investigation of PSU admin and athletic dept and a criminal probe of the local DA's office.
Yes I'm sure that's why Victor Greene decommitted last year and went to Coastal Carolina instead. That offer we gave must have really been legit
DOJ is too busy dealing with NC right now... They'll get to Penn St later on
eh why should he have been loyal to us? NO one can be loyal to everyone. you can be honest to everyone but not loyal. he owed us nothing. hes not a hokie tried and true. he came recommended from someone who was loyal to him. but he had no loyalty to us. loyalty isn't something you just move from place to place. when youre loyal to something its built up through time or through blood. I don't necessarily think he was unloyal to us he was loyal to himself and what his goals were. I think hes trippin if he thinks for a second that some 17 year old kid feels any loyalty to him. He needs to be a bit more realistic. Just like he had no real earned loyalty to us these kids have none towards him, they have known him for what a year maybe and all he does is come in and try and sell them on the future yeah maybe you developed a little relationship during that time but not enough for them to be "loyal" to you. recruiters for the most part are glorified acquaintances. Im willing to bet if you asked him what he is loyal to.... (the answer is the same for most of us) and it would go probably in this order too family, friends, football, and bunch of other stuff and then wayyyyy down on that list is... head recruiter.
CONGRATULATIONS AMO!

From the Penn Live article:
Others, most notably Penn State's independent Sandusky investigator Louis Freeh, have alleged that, at least from 1998 on, Paterno, then-Penn State President Graham Spanier and two of Spanier's top managers were aware of complaints against and about Sandusky.
In a pending criminal case, Spanier, former athletic director Tim Curley and former vice president for business and finance Gary Schultz are accused of failing to report a specific allegation of abuse by Sandusky in 2001 that a then-graduate assistant had reported directly to Joe Paterno.
No idea about the 1976 allegations, but there is/was a criminal investigation.
Of course, and being a 5* Top 10 player doesn't mean it, either.... But if you're stockpiling 2 or 3 of these kinds of kids a year, like Buzz is doing, that's where it truly becomes the situation like I described above. At that point, you're not relying on individual kids to be stars, but rather you're developing a talented team, and if you can get the result to be greater than the sum of its parts, well then you've got a really great thing going.

Never mind then. Personally, I think we just spend too much time worrying about recruiting.
But I get it. Keep on keepin on.
