I think Hurd is the bigger concern. Once he's past the DL he's guaranteed 5 yards if AM is the one tackling him since he'll get dragged for at least 2-3 after contact and that's if he makes the tackle.

Don't forget coaches pull offers for twitter stuff too. If a coach can pull an offer for twitter, a kid can decommit over twitter.

It's completely understandable though. Money is huge motivator in life. If a coach can bring in a good amount of recruits, and/or hopefully bring in high rated ones, it makes the coach look a lot better. That's one of the reasons Texas A&M recruited him away from VT.

Moorehead not only wants to keep his job, but eventually get paid more and possibly find another high paying job. One way to do that is by bringing in and keeping talent. He may not admit it, but he's sour because he wants to keep his job, and not have him or Texas A&M look bad by losing recruits. #moneymotivation

Agree with this. Just want to see improvement all around. Also less penalties, which is still a concern because Memphis was one of the most penalized teams in the country I believe last year.

DE is a pretty big concern. No one but Ken with any real experience and he wasn't very good last year. Hoping he breaks out this year and some of the young guys are able to at least be average players.

we haven't played a meaningful game in November yet that where weren't missing key guys

Fun fact to go along with that: Notre Dame is 6-7 in November since their undefeated regular season three years ago.

Teams we should never lose to that would have drastically changed the last few seasons for us: Duke and Pitt. These are not more talented teams, these teams do not run difficult to defend schemes, there is no excuse. To get back to real VT football, these games need to go back to being gimmes.

Exactly. There was obviously truth in what he was saying but that's the kind of thing you say behind closed doors to the other coaches and not on social media. Honestly he sounded like an immature teenager himself with those tweets.

See, there's an advantage to never getting elite recruits- no worries about a 5 star decommitting if they never commit in the first place.

And schools have the ability to pull offers with no accountability. Any moral high ground that a coach or team takes over a recruit is a joke

Manziel cursed their QB room. Or maybe it was Kyler Murray's dad way back in the 80's or whatever.
