Yet again - CFB putting a playoff game at 7pm on NYE...

I think the bigger issue last year was putting the game at 8 pm on NYE. That was the only good thing about Michigan State just rolling over, it made the game go quicker and end well before midnight.

As was said after the last round of playoffs, it will be a while before we really have enough data to determine whether or not NYE playoff games are a good thing. This year, NYE is on a Saturday. Next year, the games rotate back to January 1. Although it is funny that all of the years where NYE would fall on a Sunday, and potentially push the games back to December 30th are all years that the CFP is on 1/1.

Memphis was 124 out of 128 with 75.1 penalty yards/game.
VT was 97 with 62.8 yards/game.
Memphis only had 3 more penalties over the entire season though. I guess Memphis had less 5 yard penalties and more 10 to 15 yard penalties than Tech. Memphis averaged 9.8 yards per penalty. VT averaged 8.5 yards/penalty.

I feel like every year we Caps fans get Charlie Browned in the playoffs. Good grief

Washington sports suck. Maybe being a bandwagon fan really is the way to go.

I'm with you. The food aspect of game day, for me at least, is centered around the tailgate. That's one of the best parts of the day to me, just hanging out with everyone and cooking out. I tend to not buy food in the stadium because I've eaten a ton/have a ton more to eat back at the car, and what I get doesn't really justify what I pay.

I don't know... this is a lot of effort for what I think is very little return. I've been going to games for 7 years now, and I've only bought food a handful of times. And if I do buy food it's always a Turkey Leg. I just don't see concessions as a large source of revenue, or something that would dramatically change the gameday experience of fans.

EDIT: it appears I'm in the minority.

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

Shut it down. We're done here.
