The question is what "Opportunity to purchase priority seating for Football and Men's Basketball" means. That's a stated benefit at Hokie Club level starting at $100 (which is where I am). Does that mean we get an early shot at otherwise-public purchase -- season tickets, 3-game packs, single-game?

Clemson's IPTAY has a $60 level with minimal benefits (not even the printed club magazine) and no season ticket purchase eligibility, then their regular program starts at $140. I'd like to see us do something like that at maybe $50/yr.

Reseating is a little different in this model for sure. It's a lot closer to what you'd see in pro stadiums with seating tiers -- your seats are defined by a per-year per-ticket total cost band.

Stated differently, the season ticket holder you sit next to will almost certainly have spent the same per-ticket as you now. I also suspect there'll be more movement between blocks year to year now -- for one thing, it's just simpler with the seat selection software they've used since the last reseating.

Fun tidbit about Wun Wun. His name is a reference to Phil Simms (jersey # 11), as Martin is a big Giants fan.

In the book he smashes one of the Queen Selyse's knights against the wall and kills him. There is a throwaway detail about the knight having a shield with the symbol of his house "a blue star on silver"

took that a different way. she took him away from the sword fighting because he is just a stableboy, so my money is on him getting sucked into practice with the Starks and getting knocked on the head with something. Which is precisely what his mother was trying to avoid. Because mothers have that sixth sense

I actually think the typeface screams VT, and its because there are enough subtle hints to the actual logo to make it work.

The angles of the diagonals in the V and A are the same as the angles on the VT logo. As such, the 'cuts' on the R, A, E and H all have the same angle as the VT logo, and as such, all align with the and of the 'T' in our main logo. You will also note that all letters except the I have the same weight width-wise in the wordmark. This aligns with the proper VT as both the V and T should have identical widths (the area of each being essentially the width of 3 segments of the line, with gaps having the same width as the logo). Knowing this, you can then say the wordmark is actually built off the styling of the VT, and they both play well together making a good brand.

Yes, now I agree the rounded edges do appear out of place, but when you consider the alternative, you'd either have out of place points jutting out of the wordmark or letters that needed balance adjustment, making them appear smaller to ensure points aligned with the rest. So to avoid this, they rounded edges, and made it stronger.

The Heat have proved that if a player not named Dwyane Wade has an awesome scoring game, they are going to be extremely tough to beat. Luol Deng went off in game 1, Goran Dragic went off in game 7. I think it's only a matter of time before Joe Johnson has himself a game. Go Heat!

I agree! The way it looks on the Nike uniforms comes across as more to purple than maroon. I feel this way when I see the jersey's on TV. As you said, there should be more brown and less blue in the mix. I was excited when I heard they were standarizing the color shades. But this does NOT look Chicago Maroon to me. The color on TKP banner is a better Chicago Maroon, IMHO.
