Interesting idea, something I've never seen before. Don't think it would fly as there would be to much uniform inconsistency. I think the numbers would look much better if they had an accent color.

Brendan Rodgers happened. You can tell by the lineup that the rest of the PL season is going to be early preseason. Too many players are hurt right now, so the focus is on the Europa League. Honestly, I think this is a great approach because now these youngsters are getting game time and figuring out what they need to do to get to the next level. At the same time, it gives Klopp the chance to evaluate who is worth hanging on to and who is getting shown the door this summer.

That's a lot of potential parking spaces gone.

I see what you did there...

Depends on the location. For stadiums that routinely sellout their games (e.g. Notre Dame, Ohio State, etc.), I typically order through the Hokie Club. The seats usually aren't in the best section but they are guaranteed seats (assuming you're high enough Hokie Club priority to get them) and they're with other Hokie fans. For stadiums that don't usually sellout, I usually just buy directly through the away team's athletic department or on the secondary market. I haven't looked closely at Syracuse specifically yet, but I will probably not order through Tech for that game.

They were having a party in the second trailer. There was some dispute as to whether it was a flashback to the Red Wedding or a new party but the tables are laid out differently and the party goers are wearing Lannister armor.

I forgot that we still have ole Walder to take care of as well. I hope we get a few satisfying death scenes over the next season.

My only complaint about the font is the rounding off of the V, N, and A. Considering the logo has sharp lines, and Nike offered a rounded off version for our unis which we turned down, I would have liked them to be pointed (sharp) too.

Hopefully the additional per-seat charge results in them allowing people to donate who do not intend to buy season tickets. Due to my family status (4 young children) and having access to tickets via family, I am not currently a Hokie Club member as a means to getting season tickets. However, I would be willing to make a small donation similar to Clemson's program. Unfortunately, a gift of less than $100 is not allowed (last time I checked).

I assume the prices by level will be covered at the town halls and released later. This will be key in determining whether this is successful or not. Hopefully it's not $100 per seat as the minimum, as some of the season ticket holders in the upper level who are either donating $100 or are not Hokie Club members are likely price conscious and may just keep their money.

Putting my cards on the table: after 2002 graduation and free-riding for that fall, I split a $500/yr donation 2003-15 for 4 tickets until '15, 2 in '15, now none and a $100/yr maintenance donation (real life kicking in). I've been in sections 37, 35 and 33 for that investment.

From that perspective, I'm surprised at how *reasonable* this plan is -- if this is going to return an increase in donations, it suggests that way more than just the $100K lifetime whales weren't donating at all or were donating very little for big blocks of prime seats. That's gotta change. I'd rather it just be bundled into the face value of the tickets -- on a blank slate that's a more honest approach -- but since you're dealing with tax-deductibility you're kind of stuck.

I am cautiously optimistic that we land Hunter and maybe a few other of our bigger targets. Missing on Crosby was tough, but the excitement of our future may help us land a few this cycle, and a noticeable improvement on the field, with a more enticing offense should help steer some recruits back our way with more consistency.

I know it's not really overly significant, as we have learned the hard way many times, but Hunter picked up another CB to the good guys today. That's 4 to us and 1 to Clemson.

Nymeria's pack was last known to be hunting across the Riverlands because there's more food to be found than up North. Ghost will certainly be joining the Bastard Bowl with Jon, so I'd say the Ghost scenario is much more likely.
