Hey look everyone is a Monday during the offseason!! Uniform talk check, player issue check, player development check.....
/S
Great job Joe, just attempting some humor on a Monday
I think the scene with Tyrion, Viserion and Rhaegal was a strong notion that the Tyrion is part Targaryen theory has some wheels.
They made a point to show his mom call him a stable boy and take him away from the training for his own safety. So, my guess is kicked in the head by a horse.
Amazing how Clemson and Michigan St were exactly 50,000 and 51,000 on the dot...
[Note: I can't believe that these things even get ranked...and more so, I can't believe people actually take the rankings even semi-seriously]
Prediction:
There will be a scene where Ramsey's hounds are going to attack and Ghost shows up, growls and Ramsey's hounds run away scared.
Alright... about the new font... I like it. Its definitely stylized, but in a good way. Just a little tweak that took us from generic to unique, which is something the entire Athletic Department has been needing for a while. And I like the fact we standardized the logo. Now if we could just go around and fix all the funky VTs around campus that are just plain wrong in their dimensions, that would be great. Lets start with the ones on the iron gates to Lane, and the one above the entrance to the Tunnel in Lane.
That being said, I have a feeling these uniforms won't be around long, and we're going to see some special one-off uniforms this year that will give a hint to the direction we're going down the line. The only reason we still have the same template that we did is because Frank wanted it that way, and the uniforms had to be designed a year in advance, at a time when we weren't considering the thought Frank might not be coaching when they are debuted. You don't keep the tricolor and orange chrome lids around if you don't plan on developing uniforms that blend better with them down the line.
Oh, and about the actual uniforms, I actually kind of like them. The font change is perfect, and it gives a nice mix of retro with modern. Its like the 2010 Camaro of muscle car uniforms. Its not perfect, and it has its issues, but it just works and it stands out in the crowd. I mean, what we had before was a carbon copy rip of the LSU template. By changing the fonts, its a unique style that's pure VT. Personally, I think it'll look great on the field.
I don't mind the stripes on the white uniform at all, but it doesn't work on the maroon, I don't think.
I'm right there with you guys. This website is by far the best Virginia Tech football and basketball coverage anywhere, and in the past year, the coverage on all sports has been superb, whether it is the staff or the community posting.
ok seriously... I thought we had gone over this before.
Boltons = UofL
Starks = VT
Bolton conspired to toss VT out of the Metro long ago, stabbing us in the back essentially killing off the Athletic Department when they forced the vote to toss our basketball team to the curb. They red wedding'd our Athletic Dept.
VT spent years trying to figure shit out, and then the (bastard?) son who nobody acknowledged rose to power out of nowhere, climbing to the top of the food chain rapidly once put in the right spot. Yeah, Frank Beamer is our Jon Snow, bitch. We rode the power all the way towards an ACC invite, uniting the entire eastern seaboard under one conference. Oh, and then we smacked them around in the 2005 Gator Bowl. Yeah, Petrino was their Ramsey.
Boom, knowledge-bombed.
Looks like he is a tryout guy also. Real shame all these guys are not getting UDFA contracts. Thought at least one or two of them would.
I see Hall as an optimal FS who had to play SS last year. Cravens is definitely not a FS so don't think hall is in danger.
He, along with Varys, are arguably the smartest people in all of Westeros. Those two together are a power combination whose wit and intelligence make up for their physical stature and lack of strength to hold their own in a world dominated by violence.
Agreed. I'm hoping it means that the storylines that are starting are just going to be so awesome, that they needed to get Jon back in the game as soon as possible for his part in all this.
I think it can be argued that he is the character that knows more about dragons than any other character, perhaps even more than Dany herself.
The entire series has referenced this. The books bring it up a lot more, but the show included his gift to Joffrey of the compendium about dragons, etc.
After years of waiting, we can finally answer the question posed by the Baha Men: Ramsey Snow let the dogs out.
I gotta hand it to Joe, he definitely knows how to manipulate his pawns... er... motivate the great people of TKP to come to action!
I think it will take a little while to get used to it but I think it could have been a whole lot worse. It grows on you.
I really hope the lighting is what makes it look that way. Scroll the uniform so that it is bi-sected by the TKP banner and see the difference. I have worn out 80's hats and hoodies and won't get rid of them because I like the colors on them so much better than the post 2000's. These uni's look to me like they are heading further down that path.

If they start running a more consistent offense I agree with this, but they, as a team, settle for too many early shot clock, no pass jumpers. I love Kemba Walker and would love to see Charlotte have success.
100!!!
Is it weird that one pair of pants has a belt and the other beltless?
This post seems to have sparked an uptick in the Key Players Club, haven't seen this much movement on a single day in awhile. Excited to see it.
Probably more than that. 2 more of us also jumped in this morning
