I think you make a lot of good points. Your opinion of this could be changed drastically based on the lens you are looking through and it's hard to remove personal bias from a situation like this. Everyone has some moments where they are less than perfect. I know I've certainly been upset about an ill-timed traffic stop before. I am strongly opposed to the 'defining a person by a short clip of a bad moment' mentality.

That said, I have interacted with his family on several occasions and know people who know him more closely and I've never heard anyone suggest he is any less genuine in private than the way he presents himself. I say that as someone who regularly talks about how much I dislike Clemson fans on here.

OSU game was a sellout technically. If you're talking about the South Endzone being half full at the top I would direct you to the East Stands and the aisles of the North Endzone being so full that I could barely make my way out to the concourse.

So Clemson has what's basically a donor club called IPTAY. IPTAY stands for "I Pay Ten A Year" as $10 was the membership price when it started, but by the time I was there for my freshman year in 2011 it was (I think) $300. Being an IPTAY member gave you first go at seats as a student, especially for football, and gave you a higher chance of getting seats as an alumni. Technically the seats were free, but if you wanted to sit in the lower bowl you'd have to get your tickets early, and if you weren't in IPTAY you wouldn't get them in time to get in the lower bowl. To get the best seats you still had to wait in line, which meant camping out with your friends, as I did twice before realizing I hated everything about Clemson. Those lower level seats are really close to the field, and most Clemson students will be able to afford it, however I don't know what role IPTAY plays in this.

The last time Lane was completely full was the GT game in 2012. We couldn't even sell out the OSU game this past season.

Dabo and his brother still acted like they were being held up by the officer.

Again I fail to see how/why you're interpreting it that way. I know you said there was sound but it wasn't audible enough to decipher what was being spoken (if barely). Were you able to read lips? Was it your interpretation of bod language?

Like I said if this traffic stop had played out and I was the officer Dabo and his brother would have been back in their car or in mine with cuffs on.

You say that about Dabo, but what if a similar situation had played out with Beamer/Foster? Yeah I get the whole "Beamer would never" biz & that's most likely correct. But you're already dealing with hypotheticals here.
For clarification, I am not hanging on Swinney's coattails or defending improper behavior.

I've seen that. If it wasn't in Starkville it would probably be really great. Seriously though, that type of set up, I was thinking something along the lines of berms in spring training stadiums, are so great and is how baseball was meant to be watched.

I wouldn't call Fuente a damn steal when you compare him to Dabo. Dabo has accomplished so much more, (ACC titles/recent natty appearance/top 10-15 recruiting almost year in and year out) in very little time. If Fuente is to do that too or something similar, then he will be mostly given a hefty raise later on due to his high demand.

There was sound. Few things about traffic stops, most people would not be allowed to A) get out of there car not to mention have their passenger get out B) most people would not be allowed to walk back and have conversations with the officer while writing a ticket about "I was in law enforcement for 30 years" Dabo and his brother were given a lot of leeway not afforded most people and yet Dabo and his brother still acted like they were being held up by the officer. Like I said if this traffic stop had played out and I was the officer Dabo and his brother would have been back in their car or in mine with cuffs on.

Yeah but the OP said why don't they do it to ALL students (raise prices), and I said maybe they have some integrity still - more of a TIC comment but I digress - Instead of charging ALL students extra, they're selling it to students at a certain price for a certain type of seat.

If they charged everyone $225 they probably could build that monstrosity, but they aren't.

I would have had both of them in their vehicle during the stop not interacting with fans. They refuse then guess who is going in handcuffs in the back of the car until the ticket writing process is over.

But (no offense) you're the firedude. Don't you have some cats you gotta pull from trees or something? [I put this in jest. Really, I love you]

ernest got in some trouble as a jag out here at the beaches. but now is making up for it. great dude. spoke with him a couple weeks ago about coming out to speak with my football team about hard work and achieving his goals and life after football and some other stuff. he has a new born but has been great about working with me to try and set something up.
