# | Hokies Invite a Variety of Visitors to Watch Tech's "High Intensity" Spring Practices Yes, you did. And then everyone else caught up to speed and leveled the playing field back out again.
You also had punt returners field punts inside the 10 and running after calling for fair catches.
I thought Krak was talking about two different plays...
Actually if I'm not mistaken based off of French's film reviews Motu does execute the correct leverage. He is responsible for hitting Fox's outside shoulder (however he doesn't really manage to do this) in order to force Evans inside so Terrell Edmunds can make the tackle.
I think you two are looking at different plays. Motu isn't anywhere close to putting a hand on Motley on the play where he blows up Fox

Eh, he more monster games this year but he still scored 5 points or fewer 14 times. I think that he will find that consistency eventually, though.
Actually he did get a hand on him, which is what he is supposed to do to the QB in a yellow no contact jersey. You can see him let up and just hold out a hand to tag him once he had the position to take him down.
Motu on that last one just annihilated McClease. Coleman Fox.
I haven't looked at stats either, but I saw more consistency from Hudson all year. He had more Tyrone games and contributed more when he wasn't Tyrone. There have been a lot of posts on this thread claiming that he was inconsistent and would disappear some games. Maybe you couldn't predict when he would score 20+, but the inconsistency narrative comes from last year. Every night, especially as the season went on, you could expect a good 3-point shooter, a guy who could rebound and drive, and good defense. Especially when Allen was struggling to hit 3s, and J-Rob hadn't had his coming out party yet, Hudson was the only reliable 3-point shooter outside of Bibbs (I'm discounting LeDay because of how open he needs to be to get his shot off).
... And failed to get a hand on Evans who ran right by him.
Pretty much I think Terrell is pretty much going to be pretty much one of our best DBs, pretty much.

Yeah, I also see them playing similar roles and Clarke backing up LeDay. Although if we can't find someone to back up Blackshear they might be playing a lot of minutes together. Clarke can learn a lot from how LeDay plays and inherit the starting spot in 17-18. He offers a lot of athleticism/speed that LeDay doesn't and that is always a game changer.
Both. Spring practice is bi-polar.
You are also supposed to formulate a hypothesis based off of the limited information we have access to and argue that point all summer until fall camp starts.
Isn't being a sports fan fun?
Negative, I was not in ANY way, shape or form, blaming it on French. Was simply venting my frustration with my inability to use the app. Thanks to the poster below, I have since figured it out.
Very competitive - hopefully no bad blood!
Even going into last year, I laughed when people were calling Bucky a TE. He is a wideout. Did he line up with his hand on the ground more than a couple plays per game? He is almost always lined up in the slot.
just spewed coffee all over my desk.. perfect gif usage. +1
Should we be elated or concerned that our OL is getting the better of the DL in these vids?
I know Lefty like to tinker with unusual formations, but I don't think I can recall anyone lining up with their end on the ground.
Now there have been plenty of times (especially in the Newsome era) when someone along the OL has had their end on the ground two seconds after the snap...
And it's all your fault too.
Clicked. Smiled. Chuckled.
Well played.
Buzz spoke at the Blacksburg Sports Club luncheon on Wednesday. I can confirm that he thinks Ty Outlaw could be the best player on the team. He is very hopeful that the clearing process for his medical issue will be resolved over the summer. He said there was great progress, but the process is far from over.

Also, he is an excellent and hilarious speaker. It was really great hearing him speak and his discussions with the audience were great. The kids he coaches are really lucky to have him as a mentor. He is teaching these kids not just basketball but life lessons.
I really think Hudson would have still played more if he had stayed and grown under Buzz's tutelage. He was a sophomore this year, right? Man, still plenty of time to grow and rid himself of that inconsistency. Kid could light it up and I sensed that he was getting more consistent later in the season (but I'm not looking at his game to game stats, so I could be wrong).

Great compliment, buddy.
