and the player with the biggest reputation on the field's name is Kaka

remember that well, and then lost the next week to Columbus at Ohio Stadium on a field the size of a postage stamp. the league has come a long way.

I certainly hope your phrase
"Said thank you about 1000 times" is a euphemism."

Sad that these two women were possibly scared by the fact that (at least one) large, young black man was trying to get their attention. Likely rooted in some kind of conscious or unconscious racism.

Also sad that bad things happen to women so often these days that there is reason for them to be scared in a situation like this. Really sucks on both sides.

For the record, the call was received at 4:25pm so it's not like this was the middle of the night.

EDIT: I hope everyone who downvoted me and flipped over this comment just saw Kam's interview on Sportscenter.

I might have provided the list...and which stores to go to. And said thank you about 1000 times. I gave this list but said only grab about 5 at each store. Instead she just bought everything knowing I'd be happy and that I'm paying her back.

Wow! She either knew what she was doing or she had some pretty awesome help to get a list together like that.

yup, family in Lexington, KY gave it to me for easter and i was a big fan. didnt think the bourbon flavor was too overpowering like a lot of bourban ales have. fortunately it isn't too hard to find in VA

rover Terrell Edmunds

Am I the only one who double took on this little tid bit? He definitely doesn't look the part of rover but if that's what Foster thinks is his best position, I'm not going to disagree. He showed some promise playing corner last year, made some big plays one on one against big UNC receivers.

Oh, I'm not for crowning anyone the starter without one hell of a competition. But you seemed to be using questionable reasoning as to WHY you were against Lawson. That's all. Wasn't necessarily saying your overall point was wrong, but how you got to it seemed to be way off base.

I have to say I disagree with this. I don't think these kids are going to sit there and analyze the game and scheme. That's what buzz is doing. For the most part they're going to enjoy watching a game of their peers. What they do get out of it would be more simple, such as, keeping their mind on the task at hand and who they'll be matching up against tomorrow. Let be honest, they'll be on their phones half the time anyway.

My girlfriend is visiting Cleveland and Indianapolis as part of research for her Master's Thesis. In Cleveland she picked up Fat Head's Hop JuJu and Headhunter IPA, Hoppin' Frog's Cafe BORIS and BORIS Bourbon barrel (Imperial Stouts), and Jackie O's Dark Apparition Imp. Stout. She just went and got me 5 different beers by 3 Floyds in Indianapolis! A 6 pack of Zombie Dust, Alpha King (another highly rated pale ale), Big Tiddy Assassin (a Flanders Red), Wig Splitter (oatmeal stout), and Blot out the Sun (an Imperial Stout aged in Cognac barrels).
I have an amazing girlfriend.
EDIT: Apparently she also got me 2 more! 3 Floyds Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker (Imperial IPA) and Space Station: Middle Finger (yet another highly rated pale ale).

I feel like it would help to have the whole team there watching FSU (since BC is slipping away) to see how they're playing to help them gameplan tonight for tomorrow night's game.

I get what you're saying, but when you have players watching the entirety of the game (not tape edited by coaches) you risk overload and incorrect conclusions. If the coaches can filter what the players are shown through edited tape and scouting reports, you can pass on the wisdom of the coaches' analyses without having to worry about any of that other stuff.

I mean, someone like Sam Rogers is gonna be able to watch tape, identify strengths and weaknesses, and plan accordingly, but he's basically a coach at this point anyway. A less experienced or lower football/basketball IQ player might not benefit from the same overexposure. I could be wrong, just my 2 cents.

I just recently tried a new beer (or at least one I had never heard of) called Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and it is epic. Love that stuff. Has anyone else tried it?

Wasn't sure where to post this but they just had a short little clip talking with Buzz live at the FSU-BC game on ACC network. He's there watching the game and scouting it out. They pointed out that normally the head coach wouldn't go to the game himself. Thought that was interesting and just goes to show how detail oriented Buzz is. It also looked like he was sitting next to a player although I couldn't tell if it was one of ours. I feel like it would help to have the whole team there watching FSU (since BC is slipping away) to see how they're playing to help them gameplan tonight for tomorrow night's game.

There may have been precedence in years past for teams with RPIs in the high 60s to get in, thats just not going to be the case this year more than likely because of the number of #1 mid major seeds that have lost in their tournaments but will still make the tourney. There are the potential for six teams getting bumped out. Most of the prognosticators right now have teams in the high forties, low fifties being the last teams out.

CBS is projecting Tulsa, Cincy, Washington and St Bonaventure being the last four out, they have respective RPIs of 48, 39, 82, and 27. Washington fell off a cliff to end their season which is why they were on the list but the others are still at risk.
Another CBS analyst has these: Michigan, George Washington, Wichita State, Monmouth: RPIs 67, 62, 47, 53

Campus Insiders has Ohio State, Colorado, St Bonaventure and Providence: RPIs of 76, 29, 27, 43

ESPN projecting Oregon State, Gonzaga, Tulsa, Florida: RPIs 30, 60, 48, 57
ESPN projecting next four out behind those as: Ohio State, George Washington, Valparaiso, Michigan: 76, 62, 51, 67

All of that said, Tech HAS to win the ACC to make the tournament this year. Even winning the tournament only would move our RPI into the low 60s but we would be autobid. Beyond that, even a loss to a top ACC team in the final wouldnt do enough to get us over the unusual hump that is this years tournament selection. Regardless, who would have thought we would be sniffing this air at this time of year. We came up short this season but as long as we continue to improve, beating the teams we should in OOC next year, we should be right in the mix again.

Too bad you ducked cause I think that chair I just threw in your direction would have knocked some sense into you. (if there was a /s equivalent to "tongue in cheek" it'd go here)

It really irks me that the premise of this article is that VT players were disrespectful and needed to be taught a lesson.

I saw that too, and was frustrated that it was twisted in that sense. I knew it was from last year, and for people only watching the video and not reading the commentary about the video, it certainly is nice to see.
