Stub hub for Wednesday, I got 3 tix for BOTH sessions for $156; Face is $240 ($40 x 3 x 2 sessions).
So, go stub hub for Wednesday and if we win, get your tix from losing team fans after games on Wed.
Yes, that was a train wreck, but we can always pretend that "live" is the same as "good", I suppose.
I think this was one of those "I can do anything on live TV, and people will pretend it's cool and they like it because of the artists involved" moments.
Anyone take a stab at why the process took so long? It was weird he was on campus working but not officially announced.
Sigh...smh...we really ARE a football school!

So I know SNL is not the best place to 'preview' and 'review' music, but Kanye's music that he performed on SNL (I think it was Highlights and Famous?) was absolutely awful. I've never heard such garbage from someone referring to themselves as an 'artist.' I understand that people appreciate the uniqueness, and that this is my own opinion of what I heard, but good lawd: it was bad.
I'll stick to my Lumineers, Railroad Earth, and Greensky Bluegrass - Kanye can keep lovin Kanye cuz I ain't lovin Kanye.
Told you it was just HR. Bud posted this to facebook.

Hmmmm, I hear what you are saying. I prefer to add a little energy.

I'm sure I can find someone heading down. My parents may be interested as well. They are pretty involved with the home brew scene in Richmond. So they may be able to bring my entry as well.
If I can't find someone to take my samples, I really appreciate the offer! That would be incredibly helpful to hold my beer for me!
As someone from a different era, I still shake my head at the fact that people can steal an artist's music with no repercussion. I have no dog in the hunt, but I have made my share of music, and I can tell you that any serious musician works their tail off to create and perfect their craft. From the solo artist plucking his guitar and singing originals at the coffehouse to the megastars selling out arenas, they deserve to be paid.
This is what my head and heart tell me now. However, when I was a younger man, we would routinely share albums (yeah, real vinyl) and occasionally tape someone's copy for our own use, thereby effectively "stealing" from the artist. While we rationalized it by thinking that at least someone had actually bought the album in the first place and never even thought of it as stealing, looking back on it, well, it probably was. A cassette tape could be played in the car or on a boom box, but seldom was as satisfying as owning the vinyl, and if it was a really good album, we'd save up and buy it. I knew people who'd spend money at the Band Box or Books, Strings and Things instead of buying food, so it wasn't like we had money to burn or anything. Being a technophobe of sorts, I guess I'm just trying to understand the changes in the music industry, and as you can see from my post, I'm not doing a very good job of it. So thanks to all who have participated in this discussion, I have learned some things from it.
Yeah, it sounded like Stiney's and Gray's departure really affected Hunter more than I had thought. Hopefully he can get back onboard, but it sounds like we have some work to do. Had they not left, however, I still don't think we would have landed him in the end. Stiney seems to have a great reputation amongst the players and coaches, but I think he more often got friend-zoned from a recruiting aspect. Seems like a super nice guy, and I think others share that sentiment, but for every big recruit or so he landed there were two or three times more big-time misses.
Hopefully Fuente and the new staff are making a huge impression on the VA recruits. I don't expect an immediate turnaround with VA recruiting (I think we need a big season to jump start that) but I'm hopeful recruiting overall is going to improve in a huge way. You can definitely notice the change in effort and overall program dynamics.

Good stuff, Alex. This is the most informative article I've seen on how the Junior Day went. Keep bringing it.
Dude as a former rpg player I laughed at this way harder than I should have...

# | Hokies Work to "Build a Bond" with Top Virginia DB Devon Hunter, Bevy of Others on Junior Day Yea and from what I've been reading, these will be short lived growing pains. I just don't want people to get to hopped up on VA recruiting hopes in the near term
That is something I need to carefully consider.
If people will only be required to contribute a 6 pack, then a large number of tasters would not be good.
Might have to pick 10 people or so that would be "judges".
I need to gauge interest first.
Need beer tasters?

Even watching that last gif in a loop, for the life of me I can't figure how that was a flagrant 1...

Early 2016 on fire god damn
expect some growing pains but also look at the connections/relationships Fuente can bring with him to VT.. Alabama, Texas, Georgia. We will lose some & we will pull some from areas we haven't recruited the last 3-4 years.
Found the fantasy nerd. +1
That would be the problem. Getting the beers there that are interested in adjudication or the contest.
Anybody near you that will be coming?
Or, beer in bottles or cans could be shipped.
I would be willing to store the beer at the proper temp and bring them to the game, anonymously labeled.
If there is interest, I have time to set that up.
Most often the amount is a 6 pack or we could also substitute a 2L bottle or 3x 750ml bottles.
If you are attending, you could bring a growler or any keg you might have.
Definitely trying to make the road trip for this game. This squad deserves a packed house for their last game in Cassell this year.

What is the typical cost of such a day?
