I think Mizzou beats NC State today...it looks like a similar match up to ours with NC State only winning the same 4 weights. I could also see Jack losing his match.

I think a lot are judging Evans and Lawson on more than recruiting rankings. We have film and can see the mechanics, raw passing skills, speed, etc. Now those things don't always translate to wins on the field, but along with size and intangibles like leadership, they show potential. And I believe many fans on here see Evans and Lawson (and later Jackson) as having more potential (i.e., higher ceiling) than Motley. However, as you point out Motley has experience and has shown he was capable of getting the job done in several games.

I believe Fuente knows the number of wins in his first year is VERY important to recruiting and to set the tone for the program going forward. If Motley has improved since last year or if he is simply the best man, I see Fuente using him as the starter. Yes, that may mean grooming a new starter for 2017 but I don't think this staff can afford to sacrifice anything this first year. There is simply too much at stake to give away potential wins because we want to develop a QB under fire, with so many eyes looking at the new offense and the W column this fall. First impressions are huge.

That probably means there will be layers of warmer air higher up

I think McFadden started losing control after that quick take down and near fall, by the time he entered the third period he was a little wild.

I'm not arguing against the tax increase per se. Just the methods employed to force the issue. That state is the omnishambles.

Should also note that even if LSU somehow finds a solution just to save themselves, there is still ULM, ULL, and La Tech int he state facing the same challenges.

It doesnt really matter how well football or LSU's athletic budget is doing, they cant cover a 1Bil shortfall.

And the line is basically that once schools cant pay to keep operating, then classes get cancelled, once that happens students get assigned an "Incomplete" Grade, and the NCAA doesnt allow athletes with Incomplete to compete.

ANd even if LSU found a solution it doesnt help ULL, ULM, or LaTech.

They looked very focused and ready for this match which is a good sign moving forward, besides at 165. NCST is going to be tough in the ACC tourney as they have some really good wrestlers 4 of which have a shot at winning their classes even if I think 141 will be pretty hotly contested based on tonight.

I appreciate you bringing it up because it made me think about it more. There are benefits and detriments from either side of the debate.

The way I look at it, you get 1 point for going from disadvantage to neutral(escape) and 2 points for going from any position to advantage(takedown or reversal).

With a 3 point reversal you would be awarding 1 point for getting out of a disadvantageous position and 2 points for getting in to an advantageous position. Two steps would make it an escape and a takedown and one step would be a reversal.

The draw back to the two point reversal is that you don't get rewarded for taking advantage from a more difficult position.

You start and end in the same position with the same points awarded if you have a 3 point reversal or an escape and a TD, that is what I mean.
