Totally agree, can't really tell much about this years class in general as its not a full effort by the current staff. Plus you can never tell until the kids hit the practice field regarding what you really got.
I am stoked that this team has already pulled 4 wins in the ACC, but I am not adjusting my expectations for this team. All 4 of their wins have come against the bottom half of the conference. I just hope when we meet up with some of the top half teams, the games are just as close and not another version of the Duke game.
The people I know who interact with the team have told me it's very unlikely that Outlaw plays ever again. I hope that's not true but just wanted to see if anything had been released about him. I would agree with Hill red shirting. That allows us to get the most out of his eligibility.

You must be so happy to have been there. I am too happy, maybe, about this win, but it was HUGE in the scheme of things so far this season. Normally I imagine I would be griping about the stripes, but ya know, those officials are some of the best around, so maybe the thing is to accept that we will always be subject to their performance and rejoice when we can win despite them. Occasionally, we are the recipients of stripal largesse, but either way, it is the final score that counts.

I, for one, refuse to characterize or limit this team based on the season so far. I am ecstatic with their production so far and feel like there is something going on that may be greater than the sum of the parts. Coaching? You betcha, but I have a feeling that maybe even we don't know what we got. Ugly, yep. Improbable, yep. I am so psyched right now that I realize I am being overcome with O&Mity, but man, I gotta say, those Hokies are making my damn January right now.
Hill is very unlikely to be back, too far into season and can redshirt. Outlaw may never play for Hokies, condition has not been announced yet.
Don't ask Mike Cary. I think the commentators startled him and made him spill his mixed drink when they broke to him for advice.
