Quick semi-META question:

Can we put (and maintain) a table at the top of this thread that summarizes everything? 4 columns - Name, Position, high school and status (status = targeted, offered, committed, or signed)? We could also add columns for rating.

I like to know where we stand with recruiting, but there's no 'easy look-up' on TKP. For example, if I wanted to figure out how many LB's we're recruiting, and who they are, I'd have to search through a bunch of comments across different threads.

A year for ACL nowadays is towards the top end. As a victim of the ACLiens, I was out of commission for at least that long. BUT, that was 15 yrs ago, wasn't a D1 athlete and I didn't have the luxury of top-notch rehab, S&C professionals doing everything they can to get me back to playing strength. Hopefully, this isn't the case and he'll be ready to return to form!

ACL injury is normally a year, I don't remember where I saw that he will likely miss the first half of 2016

Agree! Durkin would be a good option too! I like that idea. Obviously, the idea is to get as many playmakers on the field as possible. We're looking at solid RB depth, so there's a concern that if 1 or 2 were to get hot, the others just kind of fade into the darkness unless there's an injury. If Durkin is the freakish athlete that his reputation suggests, he falls into the same category. Shoot, the bulk (practically all) of the QB talk has barely even mentioned him under center. He is only a rising r-Soph and he very well could be a guy that emerges in Fuente's system. So many wonderful possibilities, unknown, and what-ifs to ponder and look forward to this spring/summer/fall !!

Wake Forest is much improved over last year. I am really impressed with these Hokies. May be coming together too late this year to make a serious run at getting in the Tourney, but that doesn't matter. Finishing in the top half of the league would be unbelievable.

So, did anyone here win more than double what they spent?

Out through the end of last season, but what information says he'll be out until the second half of next year? Seems like an awfully long time.

It was a grocery store with no sign on the entrance I used, hardly an obvious no parking area.

I just like that VT's rating is getting credit as the "ultimate test". I still think that the tackling techniques being taught need to change to fix the concussion issue, but this can be that second protective system for all other kinds of impacts

Moving forward, Vicis plans to put its Zero1 helmet to the ultimate test; Virginia Tech's STAR rating system for concussion protection. Essentially, the system gives helmets a five-star score based on how well they absorb force impact, as well as their ability to protect against head injuries.

I really like that bit.

From what little we saw of Durkin he needs to see the field in some role, dude runs like he wants to kill someone

I think this was the first game where all of the players on the floor seemed to have a positive game. None of them had a bunch of TOs, missed FTs, or dumb fouls. It looked like they essentially have figured out what the minimum level of effort they must maintain to stay competitive and when to push from there. I think there were too many times at the start of this season where you could see players slacking on the little things that ended up with mistakes or easy buckets for the opposition.

The defense still has a long way to go. The rotation was chaotic last night and too many times a defender didn't trust a teammate and committed too early or too aggressively on help defense and left wide open shooters (they shot 60%!). This is the biggest weakness right now. The defense needs to gel and play as a unit or the team needs to plan on being exhausted on the offensive side of the court.
