Maybe more even RB distribution.
Don't forget that Memphis won more than 5 games by 3 scores or more. That's a lot of garbage time, and a lot of carries for someone who isn't the feature back (don't want to risk injury).
Rondale Watson went to my high school. Some doubted he would do well at Wake Forest. He has been a key contributor this season to the Deacs. Last night was his career high. Happy for him, even more happy the Hokies got the win!

I have to say I needed a second to process that keeping a recruit out of Beamer's hands was a good thing.
I really hope to see Fuente close on a few players this year that really fit his style. It almost gives him a free half of a recruiting class when people try to measure his success. I also don't see how getting the offer from Fuente at Memphis vs Tech could be anything other than an improvement except for location and a few specific majors.

I was just going to post something similar. He played well. It seems like the Hokies always have opposing bench players have "out of nowhere" moments where they hit a couple of big shots against them. Nice to have it go the other way.
Marshawn re-injured his ACL projections I have seen is he won't return until the second half of the season if at all

Was anyone else pleasantly shocked at Pierce's play last night? It's still easy to see why he plays so little, but if we get the same handful of minutes from him from here on out that we got last night, I'll be pretty darn happy with that.

# | BUZZKETBALL CENTRAL: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (10-5, 1-2) at Virginia Tech Hokies (10-6, 2-1) 9 PM RSN/ESPN3 The basketball team tweeted out replays last night, including of that foul, and it still boggles my mind how that was called. Bibbs straight-up stuffed it, and I don't think he touched anything other than the ball the whole time. That was a bad foul. At least the officials were better than the ones that did the USC-UCLA game, if anyone watched that one. The rare possession without a whistle was quite refreshing.

It looked to me like Bibbs was falling backwards somewhat when Mcintire jumps almost completely horizontally into him. Granted Mcintire was running down the court as fast as he could, but clearly he was going to get the foul only. If Bibbs doesn't jump in the air, I doubt a foul gets called.
Sam is definitely the #1 candidate to assume the H-Back role in Fuente's offense this season due to his experience and great versatility. But if I had to pick one player to develop into that role after Sam, it would be Chris Durkin. The guy has excellent TE/H-Back size at 6'4" 230ish, incredibly physical and athletic, and runs with an angry attitude. If he can demonstrate an ability to catch from his work at TE last season, he would be an insane threat blocking, running, or catching out of the backfield. I would also like to see Peoples get some work at RB since the traditional FB role will be limited in Fuente's offense. Keep Juice at RB as well, and hope he can get back on the field as quickly as possible.
