So just to get this in bullet point form, your argument against Galen Scott is:

  1. He has no 4 or 5 star recruits at a G5 program and his five days at VT.
  2. He was not instantly successful in his ONE SEASON as a defensive coordinator, in which he lost eight starters.
  3. You don't like the way he interviews.

Sorry, but your entire argument just sounds like butthurt.

Fewer millions- same odds.

They changed the odds last year to get bigger jackpots. The bigger the pot the more people that play and the more likely there is a winner and now multiple winners.

Also taking the annuity doesn't get you the whole amount you might get 100 to 200 million more than lump but you will never get full amount because of taxes.

Fuentes contract says:

Assistant coaches will receive 1.5 months of their base salary as a bonus if the Hokies make a Tier 1 bowl. They will receive one month salary if the Hokies make a Tier 2 bowl.

Not sure how this stacks up to what they got under Beamer.

Another way to think about it:
Fuente: Hey guys, about the salaries...everyone here gets to start with a blank slate. Doesn't matter if you're a holdover from Beamer's staff or if you came over with me from Memphis. Our goal here is to win, and win big. You don't do that by resting on your laurels. So, this is year zero.

Until you die next year and your family doesn't keep getting any money.

Exactly, and I feel like people are forgetting that Wiles and Gray didn't have to agree to take a pay cut and could have gone elsewhere. If they were really so mad about, they would have left.

Sometimes, you have to play the odds.

I guess the odds are better than you'll get towed if you park in a "no parking" area.

Looking at the photo, is that a cam in the window?

This makes one wonder if it was worth the economy of cutting two letters from the word "offer".

However, given the fun we've had with it, I suppose it was...

Come on, folks!

It's really not so bad. Seems to me there was a method to the madness, and that there was an attempt at some equity among the position coaches. The coaches who were retained obviously agreed to the changes. Perhaps stability and staying at the same place ( and working with the same people) has a pretty good value. This may be why we don't all post our salaries publicly.

Instead of making the headline about Wiles and Grey, shouldn't the following be the headline?

In the ACC, only Clemson ($4.329 million), Florida State ($4.284 million) and Louisville ($3.779 million) paid their assistant coaches more than Virginia Tech last year.

I got one this past Grey Thursday its fun but keep in mind its a dying console with the Nintendo NX on the horizon. I have 7 games and only one (Splatoon) does not contain and Zelda characters (Wind Waker HD, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8- yes Link is in a DLC) or Mario characters (Super Mario Maker, Super Mario 3D World, Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8 . Although if you were ever a fan of Dynasty Warriors then Hyrule Warriors is a must have. At this point the only future releases I am looking forward to are Twilight Princess HD and the new Legend Of Zelda Wii U.

Everybody just talks about the lump sum because they value ~$300 million now more than ~$650-$700 million that's given in small payments over time. And even though the increments are taxed, it's like getting paychecks, and if you save it wisely, it will accumulate quickly due to the large size of the winnings.
TL;DR: Be patient, don't take the lump sum.

Right.
It would be cheaper to take out a loan against future earnings than forgo 50% by taking lump sum.
As well, the taxes would be less and you'd have more time to devise strategies to minimize taxation costs.

Less than $300 million IF you take the lump sum. I'd rather take incremental payments and get more money

1) Kendrick's album seemed to be less storytelling and more "deep cuts," per se. He was relating stuff to his life and etc., but some people didn't enjoy that part of the lyrical aspect. Even though he was getting deep, some of the people that listened to the album couldn't relate to it or follow a story.
2) I think Compton was a good album overall, but it's just not one of my favorites to listen to. That's just me, but I still listen to some songs from time to time.

Except if you spent $600,000,000 and there were more than 1 winner.

I read that as many titties at first. I know, not pg, but still. I can still see it.

I agree though, unless there is something behind giving him the titles, like promises down the road.
