Guaranteed money roughly falls by a factor of 2 every 32 picks. So a mid-4th rd pick gets half the bonus of mid-3rd pick and a mid 5th rd pick gets half the signing bonus of a mid-4th pick and so on. Signing bonuses aren't huge by the 4th round and dwindle quickly to almost nothing by the 7th round.
Ha, one downside to being in the Corps was no getting drunk before a football game. Well, you theoretically could, but it generally wasn't worth the consequences if you got caught. Marching drunk is not particularly easy (*ahem* so I've heard).
Probably didn't have anything like that at Memphis.
#1 prospect by some guy with an Internet connection at Bleacher Report.
Because most people need to rationalize things
You did the damn thing. This is how it is supposed to be done. Thank you.
Here are few reasons I get after ya with the threads. (And I hope others will continue to offer gentle reminders too.)
A descriptive title makes it easier to search for old threads down the road. The Tracker allows folks to filter by title. So if someone 4 months from now filters for "Jaquan Yulee", (s)he will find this thread. It also provides for better search results. Relevant and descriptive titles make sense.
Having major recruiting news as their own threads (commitment, decommitment, offer, etc...) centralizes and organizes topics, makes them more discoverable for other TKPers, and therefore cuts down on duplicate posts.
If TKPers write a well thought out and informative thread body (as per the Community Guidelines), it fosters better discussions, which is what separates TKP from the pack.
New posters pick up on the posting habits of existing community members. If you lazily start a thread with a crappy title, and/or a body that doesn't provide any solid information or foster a discussion, others will do so too.
As online communities grow, they dissolve. TKP is growing very rapidly (over 10,000,000 pagviews in 2015). Some deteriorate quickly, the ones that don't or maintain their integrity the best strictly enforce rules and guidelines. I for one would rather TKP not go to shit like other Virginia Tech / online communities.
would be awesome if true. Have anything actually to go on other than Fuente followed him on twitter a while back?
Inner circle talk- he has yet to take SAT
VT won't let him visit until he has taken it... I know UCF has the same rule.
I still don't understand people's excuse of "he's to "big" to play MLB in Tech's system". It's not that some players are "too" big, it's just that their skill set isn't right for Tech's system. Most guys that are 6-6 265+ at D-End aren't fast enough of the edge to play end for Tech, but you better believe that if a freak like Jadeveon Clowney at 6-6 270 came to Blacksburg he'd be an end. Yulee can definitely be a big time MLB for us even at 250 lbs....as long as his skill set matches what Bud and Co. look for.
Long time lurker here! Not enough legs to post a new topic, but came across this snippet from Coach K. Just a quick little talk with Frank and giving hime praise but thought it was pretty cool coming from a coaching legend in a different sport:
I'm hearing he does have the grades for VT. #Sauces
Not sure if he can dig out of that hole like Timmy did. May outgrow MLB for us as well.
Lemons?!
If they win tonight, they will have the second best start in program history behind the 1999 team that went 28-3, starting the season 18-0, eventually getting to 26-1 that year.
Neither did Tim Settle
Just sayin....
nice!
Scott seemed to be in absolute awe of the Beamer Barn during his response to the first question haha
Not sure Benedictine will agree to a basketball conference. They are a national team on the basketball side.
I have heard the new S&C coach is Corey Edmond currently at UK. Would be a great get. He has been up for national awards and is very highly respected.

My mistake. Didn't mean to come off as ignorant.
No lie.
The charter went well today. We ended up catching 3 reds, 3 trout in the 18-20 inch range, 2 snook.

Come on Down!!!!!
