Pretty much every game unless they have one of the big early season match-ups several states away. Even for those they often charter buses unless it is very far. It takes a ridiculous amount of money to fly a football team and equipment so very few schools will have that.

Whoever wrote that needs to do some research. O'Connel left WCAC football and if Bishop Sulivan are playing in the WCAC they are not eligible for the VIS playoffs.

Where'd you see that? I've yet to see him ranked above 5th. Just about every draft ranking I've seen has said he needs to return to school.

They'll definitely be highly ranked to start 2016, although they were ranked fairly highly to start 2015 as well. They would have been a top 10/15 team had they been able to close 2 games this year. They lost to both Oklahoma and UF after having 14 point leads in the 4th quarter. Butch Jones definitely made some questionable decisions that had an impact on those games.
They've got lots of talent but it still remains to be seen if they'll be able to put it all together and be a legit top 10 team.

I hope the private schools dont start taking over football too. I mean who would you want on your team, the kid who takes the bus from Chesapeake to Portsmouth or Varina to Highland Springs to play some tough as nails kids in a game or a high schoooler who is flown around the country playing games like they are already a professional?
Good info. Sorry to hear that about Cox, but I am not all that surprised. When Allosso was at the helm, it was a different story. He had a lot of connections in the northeast and got even less talented kids into good schools - Holy Cross, for example. Allosso was the reason I bought a house in the Cox district. I wanted my son to play for him. But in Laborn's case, I suspect there was more to leaving Cox for OL than the lack of promotional effort. The end of your sophomore year is hardly the time to push the panic button.
As for Coach Scott...he is everything you want a HS coach to be, IMO.

Is there a master list somewhere of who all declared? I'd just be interested to see who is going and who is staying without going through each team's reports.
My biggest problem is there are several times per year when I jump in the car in Christiansburg and either drive to New England or Orlando (visiting family) in one shot. It normally takes about 11 hours. In the best efficiency electric car, I understand that I will need to charge the car at least 3 times at 8 hours per charge. So I have effectively added two days each way for charging.
Meanwhile, my little civic gets 42 mpg at 70 mph.

You have a pretty good track record thus far. Good luck on that K99, that's definitely the best way and will almost assuredly get you a faculty position. I did get an F31, but only after my mentor published in Nature (not any of my work) and I proposed some follow-up experiments. I'm pretty sure, if it was a lower-tier paper, I wouldn't have been funded. Funny, all those follow-up experiments went so poorly so I had to change my project completely to get something publishable.
As for that "big discovery," I will definitely be able to help with that (when I finish law school, and get firmly established at the firm I'm working at (2-3 years)). One thing about patents and academic bio science, it's actually pretty to easy to get patents, but biologists are always concerned with understanding the intrinsic nature of biology instead of manipulating biology for a treatment/assay, etc. Many things a biologists do would be patentable (and valuable) if they tweaked some of the experiments to get results that Patent Law requires. If I knew now what I knew during my grad school days, I probably could have applied and obtained 3 or more patents with the right experiments. I always said to myself, you know these experiments could lead to a treatment or an assay to discover this. But instead of looking for that answer, I was more concerned with discerning the intrinsic mechanism, which is not patentable.
Agree, but I don't like seeing the God's Gift reference. If that tattoo just had add the 's' so it said "God's Gifts" it has a totally different connotation. And that could have been his intent, he did forget the apostrophe.

Which is why the Wild Turkey package with him was so odd. Yes, he's got speed, but he's a long strider. That TD in the bowl game was him using his speed once he got through the edge to take the corner. He was never LT bowling through the line. At best, he was hit low and fell 6'7".
We would have been a lot better off with TMac, Rogers or Peoples running the Wild Turkey with the advantage of blockers than Bucky.
I was a huge Bucky fan up until all this draft stuff came about. I totally understand not wanting to take a chance with future livelihood by risking injury, or just as bad, exposing less than stellar capabilities to increased scrutiny, but I'm starting to get the feeling that Bucky is more about Bucky than anything else. Team dynamics will always be a part of his life if he continues to play football, and if he cannot come back to school with a positive team attitude, maybe it's time for him to take God's Gift on out of the 'Burg and see what the big leagues can do for him. I am not down on him, and I wish him all the best, but if he's disgruntled and resentful, maybe he wouldn't be the best guy to have around. Seems like with Fuente coming in with the likelihood of Bucky getting a lot of action on the field to showcase his prodigious upside, he'd be excited by the chance to really show off his talent. Hopefully his disappointment with the draft gurus can be tabled for another year, we have a new start with a new coach and the last thing we need is negative waves. So if he goes, Godspeed to him. If he stays, I hope he is all in, I certainly think we can use him.
Yeah I'd pump the breaks there. They have some very good professors and great research going on in the physics department. We're also starting to get some people astro people in too. And we have the entire kimbelton facility. Our physics departrent is no joke
Chuck Clark will be a senior so he'll be gone after next season.
