I agree. Just feels like we did that so much over the last couple of years that it became a farce. Your signature line resonated with me as I just binged on the final season of GOT. Happy New Year!
Great call...
I'm looking forward to work on Monday when all of the Alabama fans talk about all of the horrendous flaws they have.
And again you overdoing in an incorrect analysis, as well as an almost complete disregard for my following explanation. My original statement was "I hope he does better vs Vols than he did against Aub", NOT "if the team loses the game vs Vols next yr equals problem with coaching staff" OR "Cornelsen failed to drop X number of pts on Aub's D, therefore they will fail against Vols & all their endeavors." That's something OTHER skeptics are saying and what you chose to build around my statement and proceed to judge it. That essentially would be like me taking your statement "it's silly to correlate what might happen in that game to a game between Memphis & Aub [etc]..."and adding "people that feel any amount of concern or worry regarding the upcoming game in Bristol are being silly or absurd". See what I'm getting at? People don't always select their feelings. And YES I'm absolutely focused on the upcoming contest at Bristol because, hey, it's a pretty damn important & BIG game. So I stand by my original statements: I hope Cornelsen has a better game vs Tenn than he did vs Aub, that I trust and am more optimistic about him than Loeffler or Stiney (combined), and that they smash Tenn's ass. FUENTE STAFF EN FUEGO & GO HOKIES! At this point I'm done. I plan on consuming some corn'd whiskey to bring in 2016. God bless you ALL! See ya on the other side!
Wow, Bama is about to 38-0 (bro) Sparty.
I hope Watson has some magic bottled up for the title game.
Should be a great title game. I still think Bama is vulnerable to a team with vertical passing threats. Thing is they haven't played a single one all year (except Ole Miss...)
Kylo Ren was a giant pussy and terrible villain. Really he was the main thing wrong with the movie. The first scene makes him a total badass, where he stopped the lazer while torturing the people. However later on he just turns out to be a whiny rebellious teen with daddy issues. The obvious end to the series would involve him turning good and helping to kill Snoke, but I'm not sure if I wouldn't rather see him become more evil and actually a worthy villain. Episode 8 promises to have huge plot twists, so we shall find out.
Not sure if I over valued MSU or undervalued Bama. Or I just don't like Bama.
Bama is currently "38-0 bro"-ing MSU. The title game is going to be a heck of a matchup.
Excellent point!
Saw the movie today and it specifically mentioned crushing the government of the New Republic. I guess by destroying the government center and the system that it's in, they are in destroying the "Republic".
Guess it all depends on if they mean the Republic as the government or all planets involved in that government. I believe I remember that the government was specifically mentioned.
Personally though I believe they wanted the entire republic destroyed to keep up the idea that these warriors aren't tied down. The whole premise of the original movies was that Luke Han and Chewy were pretty much rogue fighters going up against the empire. There is no clear entity behind them except "the rebellion" a relatively unorganized group. I believe the new writers wanted to continue the whole rogue fighter idea of the original films.
Agree completely. I can see A&M feeling almost forced to make a move with the level of turmoil there. It's crazy how Herman's demand just keeps skyrocketing and he is basically in the driver's seat for any football job in the state of Texas that he wants now

# | Brad Cornelsen Named Virginia Tech Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach You can say that but you don't seem to want to listen to the reasons why your concerns don't make sense. Also you obviously can feel as you please but that doesn't mean your opinion wouldn't be perceived to reflect poorly on our fan base as a whole. I read your posts and essentially what they boiled down to was that you're mostly concerned about beating Tennessee next year and if we don't, maybe we have a major problem with our coaching staff. It be a huge mistake to judge the coaching staff on our performance against Tennessee when it's their second game at VT. Not only that, it's silly to correlate what might happen in that game to a game between Memphis and Auburn simply because of conference affiliations AND to judge Cornelson based on a single bowl game. So while people are entitled to think the universe revolves around earth if they want but objective evidence and reason doesn't support it.
It's all good. I was just curious. I was talking with some friends earlier about Moorehead's rumored departure and if it signaled a bigger change coming at A&M. Have to believe the A&M admin is not happy with what's been going on recently. A lot of bad optics for that program, so it's not unreasonable to think that Sumlin's position is tenuous.
I think this is going to turn out true and have seen Shane's name in just about every UGA staff list the past few days. If some/all of these are true is shows how well respected Smart is because some of these are leaving good jobs. Although now that Sumlin has been fired the Moorehead move makes even more since.

Edit: Mr Football Talk is also the only person reporting that Kevin Sumlin has been fired. Seems par for the course for the offseason of #sources
Well, the Mr Football Talk guy (cited in this thread) tweeted that Sumlin was fired. Then nothing from anywhere. So I don't think it's true. Definitely hurts his credibility if he's wrong, and idk how he would be the only one that knew.
So.... I should've left his Twitter page before I posted.
Thanks and I can see the point.
I cut my teeth a long time ago on Rush, but I like it all.
Unfortunately the minor contact fouls are more because of the new rules implemented this season rather than the refs. We saw alot more in this game because of WVUs style of play forcing contact one way or another. Its definitely not fun to watch which is why I was against the rule changes in the first place. Expect to see more games like this though as we move forward.
Doesn't matter. None of them measure up to Bucky Hodges.

# | Memphis player takes Bowl Game ball from equipment manager of Auburn after game Welcome to the 901!
Don't have a vacuum. See following explanations. AND [if the comment was directed at me] I take particular offense to the "LOLUVA vacuum" reference as I am currently forced to reside in this sh*thole. Reminding me that I live here doesn't exactly make mine or other Hokies' situation better.

# | Brad Cornelsen Named Virginia Tech Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach 5) Tennessee is only one game. For the love of Lane Stadium, let's not allow it to define Fuente or his staffs' ability to coach football or succeed at VT when it will be all of his second game as head coach.
It may only be one game but for those of us who live in "Nothing Sucks like a big orange" territory he damn well better win it or I for one will call this whole Fuente experience a gut wrenching disaster!

Or maybe it just shows how much better the Auburn defense got now that Muschamp is gone.. Seriously that guy is as overrated as coaches come.
