I feel your pain. I wear it like an albatross around my neck. I can control it but I can never escape it. For all things I hold dear to my heart, I hope that our boys can pull out a win in Bristol. Wow... that is a strange association. I really can't think of anything about Green Day that compares to Muse. Matt Bellamy can play guitar as well as any of the guitar legends of the 70's and Muse has a significantly more genuine edge to them. Now, realize I am biased but listen to "Plug In Baby," "The Small Print" and "Stockholm Syndrome" and tell me there is anything in the Green Day catalog like it.
Now see I really enjoyed Sonic Highways. I'm curious about St Cecilia. I think this band is a lock for the R&RHOF when they become eligible.
If the object is safety, then you can say that if the player leads with the crown of the helmet he will be ejected. You can tackle a guy without hitting him in the chest with your helmet. You can't judge intent, but you can say that he didn't avoid the contact with the crown of his helmet.

If you're hiring a strength coach, they have to understand nutrition. Lotsa these old school guys think its about calories in calories out. Timing and control are essential. Look at Bosa. You can look like a normal guy, be strong as an ox, mobile, and nasty as hell. No need to have tons of fat on your guys anymore. Here is a 10,000 calorie diet so you can weight 320 ... not that those days are gone, but there is the possibility that they are. Certainly for your less than 260 pound guys the game has completely changed in terms of training and nutrition. Sorry I don't buy for a second VT S&C had any of these nutrition principles under control. Way too many guys packing on too much weight one summer then losing that weight the next summer. You pack on blubber then lose muscle mass and destroy NFL opportunities in the process. There are much better ways to get that done these days.
All true, but the album used to be an artists way of expressing themselves, not always in a commercial and easily available way, so flip sides and deep tracks were just that, until sometimes being discovered years later to be good stuff. Also, when an artist used to release an album, THEY GOT FREAKIN' PAID FOR IT! If you steal music, you are stealing an artist's livelihood in a profession that is incredibly difficult to make a living in. Rant over.

My Facebook exploded with whiney OSU fans saying Bosa got screwed. I have to agree that he didn't get pulled from the game because of Kizer's safety, but I won't bother arguing with the entitled front on the rule itself.

Agreed. And I'm not anti-officials, although Lenny Wirtz might argue with me about that. He definitely took a more than fair share of my abuse back in my rabid/rowdy days in Cassell. I also give any team props that can consistently field a competitive brand of Bball, and the first thing I learned about joining the ACC is you have to just accept the reality of the statement that "Dook is Dook". While I don't aspire to be a hated team, I would at least like to get back to being a team you really have to work hard to beat, and I truly think that Buz can make that happen in time.
There was a discussion on another thread about knowing the officials and how they work/react, historically, to certain situations. Do you then change what you do in order to maximize/minimize their effect on your game? Pissin' and moanin' doesn't seem to be the answer, and Lenny never got better for my, well let's just call it "encouragement". It is impossible to think that all the refs in all the levels of the game in all the land will suddenly be able to think and act and react like automatons, so how do we mitigate the worst of it? Well, at least we have a New Year and a day to mull it over.
My only reference is over on 11W, but most agree with the call. What many don't like is the fact that it's an ejection. I think many of us are of the same opinion; to be ejected there should be a clear intent to harm the other player. The call was 100% right, the rule itself isn't.
Are they? Unlike some targeting calls which are questionable, that was clearly targeting per the definition.
They would feel like a bigger deal if they were a bigger deal. In other words, if there weren't 42 of them.

OK, that's a fun one.
I enjoyed Sonic Highways based off of the concept. The songs weren't bad but I wasn't overly impressed with it.. I've heard the mini series is kickass though. Definitely check out St. Cecilia. It's a lot more in your face hard rock like their older stuff. It's free on iTunes too so go check it out!
And yea definitely they should be. If not the band then at least Dave Grohl. A lot of people aren't huge fans of him but he has been one of the major factors for today's rock scene with his days in the DC underground, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures, and now as a producer. He's a super chill down to earth guy too.
Edit: if you haven't read Grohl's biography "This Is A Call" you should check it out too. Pretty cool account starting from when he was a kid and just being introduced to the underground scene in DC to moving to Seattle, joining Nirvana, starting FF, etc. it was a fairly quick read for me too.
