Here's my question...
If he and KJ stay, we obviously beat USC and NC State.
BUT do we even get into the NC game over Auburn (who would also be undefeated)? I think so.
I was at the game and can say with full certainty that Alexander was both injured and having problems with his helmet. He ran over to the ref the play before to have them stop the game so he could either get off the field or get his helmet fixed, but the ref didn't stop it. So if Bud was yelling at anyone to get down, it was probably Alexander, who had two legit reasons for the game to be stopped.

All I know of the play is the gif above. Didn't watch the game. Haven't seen a longer cut.
In the context of that gif, it looks to me like 13 is looking down the whole time, running on a fixed course to confirm the tackle is made. It doesn't look like he ever sees 24. He certainly can't see him through the top of his own football helmet.
If someone has the link to the longer cut that show otherwise I'd be happy to revise my statement, but from the context of what I see, it seems like an accident.
Seems like a very different animal than Zumwalt's headhunting on LT3, where he had to launch himself up to make contact w/ Logan's head.
I don't think I've ever been as happy for a player as i was happy for Dadi when he got that sack. All year I've felt bad for him and his lobster claws, getting so close to so many sacks just to come up empty. I'm sure he has been disappointed with his performance a few times during the season. I assume the two most important things for him in that game were to win it for Coach, and to get a sack or two. Then the whole game came down to Tulsa's last drive,
a TD would win it for them,
a FG would send it to overtime where the Hokies have had a bad year,
Tulsa almost in FG range,
clock running low but not low enough to be a problem for them,
Dadi gets a good jump at the snap but then stumbles
he gets back up for one last effort ...
and that beautiful, beautiful smash-mouth full-body flatten-your-ass SACK.
I think I'm going to keep that Vine on a continuous loop until the Spring Game.

If he gets hurt in College and can never play again than he gets no money. Round 4 or 5 money is still really good money so long as he saves wisely, and it isn't like Bucky can't come back at some point to finish his degree.
Go a little bit further back in the film. Starting at the 5:55 mark, Adonis Alexander starts looking like he is cramping. He then makes a tackle at 5:03 and comes up trying to fix his helmet and starts limping towards the sideline. Bud starts yelling at him to to sit down as he is running towards the sideline at 5:03 (33 seconds on the play clock) mark. He doesn't, and the play goes forward. He then tries to yell again, and Stroman sits down instead.
Moral of the story: I'm not sure that Stroman was hurt, but I think Alexander was and Bud was trying to get him to sit down instead of play through it. Stroman sat down instead.
Edit: It looks like after the break Alexander stays out and Stroman goes back in, which convinces me even more.
Honestly, I've seen so much stupid on the internet recently, sarcasm isn't even registering at this point.
body language on routes is so fluid (and deceptive to defenders) and allows him to get separation to make those big plays downfield. I would say it's particularly evident on his deep routes. The subtle moves he makes at the beginning of those routes allow him to create space to make a play. he's extra fun to watch.

The Giants were fantastic at shooting ourselves in the foot, this season. It's obvious they need a Fuller to bolster their defense. Next season should be a brave new world, with my Hokies and Giants having new coaches.
The only way that I can rationalize krak_t's comment is if he knows you're a vocal Panthers fan and he is just messing with you. If that isn't the case, he may have just exposed himself as a bit of a sociopath.
We have a wild start to the Military Bowl. Pitt takes the opening kickoff to the house and then Navy drives down the field for a TD. Narduzzi still has much to learn about defending against that type of offense, though a bad GT this year didn't teach him the hard way.
Two more observations:
1. Perhaps Kylo Ren isn't the bad ass everyone wants because...he just isn't.
Remember how Vader was the HMFIC on his war machines, giving all the orders, dishing all the punishment. Ren seems like just another lieutenant.
Notice the open conflict with the other First Order commander over what to do next. Vader would have choked him out on the spot. (On the other hand, maybe he's been ordered to hold his temper)
As mentioned above, lack of formal face-to-face training; internal conflict; family conflict that is near and alive, unlike Vaders which was hidden or thought to be dead.
And finally, he's only Han & Leia's kid. Not like his dad's a Jedi master or anything.
2. It's called the "Force Awakens". Could this be another convergence, an attempt by the Force to balance or pull away from the Manipulations of the Sith (as it seems to withdraw itself from Darth Plagueis and resolving itself into young Anakin).
This could explain these powers awakening in all of our new heroes to unusual levels for those untrained untrained.
And honestly... the fact there were no ejections in that game probably cost both NYG and Car in their games yesterday. Both teams came out incredibly flat and both teams were harshly penalized early for extracurricular stuff setting the tone because both Min and Atl knew the refs would be looking to do it. Had the refs done their job in this game, it wouldn't have had that kind of domino effect later on.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that both y'all completely missed the sarcastica there..

# | Bucky Hodges Given "Stay In School" Draft Grade, Mulling Options Drafted in a low round, maybe. Without the big payday of a round 1-2 position, and no degree to fall back on, is a big risk. The draft board is telling him to stay in school. Bucky's stats and performance dropped off after a breakout year. The risk of injury thing, to me, really only holds water for a guaranteed first/second rounder, someone like Kendall. The NFL guys hit a lot harder, and if Bucky gets hurt there, his career may be done with nothing to fall back on. If he gets hurt in college next year, he still has another season to rehab and play before trying to go to the NFL.

I just hope that this injury and his absence doesnt play into the decision making regarding when Ahmed Hill returns. I want Hill 100% and I also would rather see him play three meaningful years with Clarke rather than two.
Guess we will see how it plays out but I would not expect to see Clarke back this year even with a smooth recovery.
A prospective nonrandomized study was made of 17 basketball players with fractures of the proximal third of the shaft of the fifth metatarsal. Eight had acute fractures, which were treated with a cast without weight-bearing, and the other nine had stress fractures for which percutaneous compression screwing was initially used. In the first group, union was obtained in four cases in an average of 9 weeks, with resumption of sport by 12 weeks. Three had a good outcome and the fourth was fair. The other four cases, which had not healed after 12 weeks of immobilization, were subsequently treated using compression screws. Resumption of sport was achieved 20-24 weeks after the fracture. Two of these had a good result; in the other two the results were fair. Of the nine patients with stress fractures in which a screw was inserted, all healed between 8 and 14 weeks and returned to sport within 7-12 weeks. Seven had a good result and the other two only fair. There was one intraoperative complication, but no postoperative complications, such as nonunion or refracture, were observed. Even if the non-operative treatment is able to provide a good result, immobilization without weight-bearing does not guarantee healing. In this series, percutaneous screw fixation was able to achieve successful healing in a short period of time. Thus, this procedure seems to be preferable for primary treatment of this lesion in athletes.
A Jones fracture (named after Sir Robert Jones back in 1902) is a fracture of the fifth metatarsal, the long thin bone that runs along the outside of your foot. These fractures are in the midfoot, often right near the tendon attachment at the base of the metatarsal. This tendon is what makes Jones fractures so difficult: every time that tendon pulls on the bone, it prevents the bone from knitting. So, treatment requires total immobilization with a cast for 6-8 weeks. As if this team didnt have enough challenges, to basically lose 15% of your scoring, 18% of your rebounding and probably a third of your energy plays, this injury will likely bring the focus back on the big men even more needing to be able to deliver. The answer will likely be a combination of more Hudson with the additional minutes being spread amongst the bigs. Luckily Hamilton appears to be back in the rotation after the early suspension so that should help spread out some of this loss on the floor.
IMO 13 was obviously looking at the action with the ball carrier. 24 had the responsibility to watch out for himself there.
