it's part of the "instant-gratification" mentality we're seeing in players these days. if they can't make it as starters, they go somewhere else to compete for a starting job. it sucks but that's what's happening...
great QB but i prefer Fuente's focus on recruiting the #1 Juco QB and his brother... I hope he finds a university that can use him...maybe A&M? i trust Fuente's intuition when it comes to his QB preferences

Don't go by what the recruits say. They're not the ones using age against Beamer and that's not what the argument is. Other schools were using Beamer's impending retirement as negative recruiting against us. That is what Bud said. He said that other schools were in kids' ears saying, "you'll play for a legend but he won't be there the whole time." All the recruits that we've heard anything from have a proper respect for Beamer, at least outwardly. That doesn't mean his age wasn't a factor; it just had a different source.
Not upset at all. I totally respect that you have an opinion. But your response seemed to ignore the vast majority of what I originally posted, so I felt the need to expound on it to be sure that my point was getting across. Wasn't trying to be a dick.
